Suggestions???

Ok so we are getting married in the same church that my parents were married as well as on their 27th Anniverssary. Is there anything special that you could suggest that we could do for them?

Maybe walk down the aisle to the song your mom did...have their song played at the reception...or if you can at the ceremony...include them in the prayer of the faithful-if its a catholic wedding....use one of the same readings...add something to the program...just a few! ;)

oh just to add...we got married in the same chapel my grandmother was baptized and made her first communion...our priest mentioned this in his homily...so that could be another option...

I think it would be beautiful to play their first dance song at your reception, have them dance by themselves (doesn't have to be the whole song, maybe a minute & 30 seconds) and then present your bouquet (or a bouquet similar to the one she carried) to your mom. You can schedule it so it doesn't conflict with your first dance or your other important moments.

Display a picture or pictures of your parents at your reception. Something old, something new. Will you have pics of yourself in your dress to display? That would be nice.
