Has anyone tried cake balls?

I am going to give it a shot tonight. I just popped the cakes in the over. Anyone have any ideas or tips? :D

They were incredibly popular on The Nest's What's Cooking board for awhile, but I haven't tried them yet myself.  The biggest recommendation I saw was freezing the cake balls before and after dipping them in the chocolate.

I tried them once. I used candy melts for the coating. They were good, but they didn't come out too pretty! I think it just takes practice getting the dipping right. GL!

Thought I'd update everyone on this adventure.... After having a 2 year old covered in chocolate with lolipop sticks all over him, and a Fi who decided that it would be fun to decorate himself as well... I realize I need to start over. :D Hah
