Name change questions

Okay, so when I go to the social security office what do I need to bring with me?  Can I bring the copy of the certificate that I received from my officiant after our ceremony and if so, do they keep that?  Or should I order more copies and give them one of those?Thanks!

    I just took the signed marriage cert. from my officant that I got on the day of. You will also need a form of ID either your license or passport, based on the form I also took my birth cert. but they didn't even look at that. They did not keep my marriage cert. - I got everything back that day.
