AW Major Checks!!

I have had a very productive day and can't help but want to share!!

I ordered my dress and shoes today for our ceremony! WOOHOOO It's about time. Both are from Davids Bridal.

DRESS http://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_639558-639558
SHOES http://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_Peep-toe-dOrsay-high-heel-with-crystal-ornament-PASSION_Accessories-Shoes-Peep-Toe

I bought tons of stuff for our backyard reception today too! Michaels was very good to me today. I got silver chargers, votive holders and votives, fish bowls for candy, tulle for decorating the deck railing and much more. I bought tablecloths online too! And I ordered some super cute 'groom' cufflinks as a surprise for FI. I couldn't help myself!

I also picked up FI's wedding ring and ordered my alternative wedding band (I'm in nursing school so I needed a second band with no stones).

Still lots to do but definitely making progress! VERY EXCITING!

PS anyone know any good places to buy white paper lanterns? And perhaps white christmas lights this time of year? THANKS :-)

http://www.lunabazaar.com/paper-lanterns.aspx has alot of lanterns too

question....I'm a nurse....why do you need a band with no stones? I've been fine for the past 8 months and my engagement ring is semi high set with 14 stones down the sides. Is this something your school is making you do? I would protest if it is but then again I know how some schools are! I haven't had problems with gloves either.

Congrats on getting so much done!

For the lanterns, World Market or Home Goods might have something. And I know Target for sure has white Christmas lights right now. I saw them last week in the outdoor lighting section.

Our school doesn't really care, they have stated they would prefer rings with no stones but it's not a rule or anything. But the hospital where we do our clinicals is very anal about no stones whatsoever! :-( So we went ahead and bought the stunning diamond band I wanted for my bridal set and I'm going to have those soldered, and we bought a plain band for me to wear to clinicals. We're going to use them both during the ceremony so the second ring will still be significant.

** Thanks to everyone for your ideas for the lighting!!

Oh....I wouldn't want to work there! I hope that's not a new policy trying to spread to other places.

Ohhh and definitely check out http://www.flowerfactory.com/ for lanterns, candles, etc.  They have the best prices, by far!

I got my lanterns from Just Artifacts. http://www.justartifacts.net/paperlanterns.html
They were super affordable and shipped next day. I haven't used them yet but I took them out of the pacakge and they seem great for what I paid. I don't worry about them holding up for the wedding at all. And if they don't rip I plan on reselling them.
