custom invite vendors and???

Any recommendations for custom invitation vendors in the Baltimore area??  I'm interested in Thermography too since it is a cheaper version of letterpress.  If any of you found someone who does Thermography that is a bonus!  Is it typical that you have to put a deposit down before you see a custom design?  I have read that on a lot of websites.  If I'm not doing a pocketfold, and will have a response postcard, what is a typical range per invite?  That might be too hard of a question to answer though since there are so many variables.  thank you!  happy Friday!

    There are a million variables, so it's impossible to give a range - esp if you're open to thermography or letterpress.  (And I'd definitely look at samples of both - they're very different techniques.)  As for vendors, I would recommend The Pleasure of Your Company in Lutherville.  They did our custom letterpress; and working with them was wonderful.
