Mansion at Valley Country Club & Bulle Rock

Is anyone planning on getting married or having their ceremonies at either of these locations?? I would like some feedback of what you liked or what you didn't like.  I am having the tuffest time choosing my venue and I feel I need to decide soon.  Any info will help!!

If it were I would choose the Valley Country Club, It is nicer, also on the Bulle Rock, one of my co-workers was to get married there ended up not doing it, because they had numerous thing with the health department.

I looked at both and like the Mansion a lot better. It was more unique and interesting. We didn't like the coordinator at Bulle Rock. The only think that turned me off to the Mansion was that we're getting married next June, and the pool would be open with lots of screaming kids! Just something to think about.

I'm actually going to look at both of those venues this week! So i'll update you with my input but Valley I believe is cheaper then Bulle Rock and I heard that Art Donovan likes to crash weddings. SO if you or your guy is a football fan i'm sure you'd love Valley.

I got married at VCC last June and my wedding was amazing :)  If you have any specific questions you can e-mail me at unionbay7 at aol dot com.  As far as the pool - I didn't notice it at all during the ceremony (which we had outside).  After the wedding when we were doing pictures on the lawn there were a few kids cheering and I just thought it was adorable.  They have "security" that make sure pool guests aren't running through your wedding.  I looked at Bulle Rock and they were VERY slow to respond and kinda rude, so I didn't even persue them.  GL!

Also - I was really concerned about VCC not offering tastings but I served everyone the Steak and Crab Cake and it was awesome!! Definitely better than a lot of the "hotel food" I've had at other weddings. Art Donovan did stop by the venue during our reception but we were outside taking pictures and missed him.  I was really annoyed no one came and got us for that.  I had a couple bumps with planning but if you e-mail me I can give more detail.  If I had to do it again, I'd pick the same venue :)
