Peabody Library Caterers

We're looking at the Peabody Library, which restricts you to two caterers.  I love the place and we can maybe swing the rental fee if our catering costs will be relatively low.

Anyone know how pricey Chef's Expressions and Classic Catering are?

Thanks!

Heather

We're getting married at the Peabody and using Chef's.  They are pretty expensive as caterers go, but we got an estimate from them before booking the Peabody.  They got back to us pretty quickly, so I'd suggest e-mailing them with your approximate guest count to get a better idea.  If you don't mind an off-season wedding, the Peabody rental fee is half price January through March, which saved us a lot of money.  Hope that helps!

My best friend is getting married at the BMI (not Peabody obviously) but is also using Chefs Expressions, and has been so happy with them.  She loved the tasting.  I think they are a little pricier.  I believe their florist is through the same company, and poaaibly their tables/chairs and linens, so it seems like they might be associated with other vendors... could be helpful in that you wouldn't have to go all over the place looking for vendors.

I know someone getting married at the Peabody, but not sure who her caterer is... I'll have to ask.  I'm pretty sure she had her tasting as well and whoever she chose she really liked.

I'm so jealous! I actually cried when I walked in to see the Peabody. It was just too small for our guest list! Anywho...I'd go with Chefs. I do not know much about them but have been less than impressed with Classic. I have been to events catered by them and did not find them to be anything special. Good luck!

    All,

Thanks for the replies.  Peabody looks gorgeous but the reply I got back from Chef's gives a ball park estimate that, when combined with the rental fee at Peabody, is just out of our price range.

Thanks again for the help!  And I'm sooo jealous of those of you who can afford the place!

    Hi,
I'm late on this, but I got married at the Peabody in October and also used Chef's.  The food is fantastic and Paul was fantastic.  We got so many compliments on the food and cake!  We also had a budget and he worked with us to meet it.  We supplied our own alcohol which really helped with the overall food budget.  I found a coupon on weddingwire that also got us a free wedding cake (I'm not sure if it's there still).  If you have any other questions, you can e-mail me at

    Good luck!
