Need a "Rustic" Venue

Looking for a rustic venue in the baltimore area...perferably a carraige house or similar. Have the Evergreen on hold...but would love to find something more budget friendly!

Re: Need a "Rustic" Venue

  • We are getting married at Rockfield Manor in Bel Air. Outdoor space, gorgeous, and a barn that is available for ceremonies.  Budget friendly as well.
  • Quick rundown b4 bed- * means really cheap, ** means fair/reasonable (but get a little more too either in beauty or service), no marks means no clue or too expensive for me.

Union Mills Homestead (my venue) **
The Tea Barn (I think a cecil county park) *
    Howard County Conservancy **
    Richardson's Farms
    Grimmel Farm **
    Nixons Farm
    Chanteclaire Farm
    Camp Fretterd
Camp Puhtok (look for their facebook, albums, off season rental) *
    Camps Letts
    Ostertag Vistas (gorgeous)
    Linganore Winecellars
    Geneva Farms **
For less than 50, Boordy's Vineyard's tasting room (or rent a tent at whatever capacity outside to see the vineyard)
    Duke Farm in PA
    Jefferson Patterson Park *

There's one more farm (actually im sure there's more than 1 im missing...) but I posted it either on here or the other MD board maybe a week or so ago (I think I titled it follow up for rustic ladies)

And for any that allow outside catering, I recommend KS Catering, good food and really inexpensive.

    WHEW Nighty night!

  • Sorry, not all "Baltimore"  (Im from Bmore county and well, I ended up in Westminster cuz I couldn't find affordable local that me AND FI loved...)

Most local are Richardsons (I love, but were a little too much since they go price per guest.  For smaller guest counts you are good but for me its too much, and then you have to add gratuity and tax on that.), Grimmel, Geneva, Boordy, Rockfield as mentioned above, Camp Puhtok is pushing it (but VERY cheap, But I would say definitely still closer than Evergreens up there), and Howard County conservancy (A big favorite, we almost booked it but my fiance wanted a church too which proved to be difficult to find nearby).

The rest kinda spread out, but Jefferson Patterson and the Tea Barn (while in opposite directions and a bit farther) are SUPER cheap, cuz they are parks, and quite pretty.

OK Im actually sleeping this time...

  • Thanks so much for all the help! I'm still hoping we can pull off Evergreen Mansion and our rustic chic look...but these are definitely great options
  • Gramercy Mansion??? 1840's Plaza? The Mansion has a Carriage House which has a country chic charm. Check out the video...http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=LQALnzX2jvs
  • If you still need a photographer check out Soheil Photography! He is AWESOME and has photographed that venue before. Good luck!
