Alterations

Anyone know of a good place to have alterations done, besides the place I bought my dress?  I'm looking for something that won't cost me an arm and/or a leg ;-)

alterations in general are pretty expensive, but private alterations people are typically less expensive and more reliable than the bridal stores (especially those around here).

I used Linda Hine for my (linda@sewperfectforyou.com) and she did an absolutely wonderful job for an ok price. She was definitely quick and efficient as well. 2 of my bridesmaids also used her and had nothing but good things to say.

I also used Linda Hine for my alterations and everything turned out perfect, especially considering how much she had to do to it.

I'm a Monica Gwaltney bride. PM me if you'd like her number.

I used Linda Hammond and I was really impressed with the pricing. We got everyone's  dresses done there and pressed to boot.
