Ceremony musicians

Can anyone recommend a classical guitarist or harpist for my ceremony in Granville (about 45 minutes from downtown) this summer?  I would also consider stringed instruments as well.  I'm not interested in using a DJ for this.  Thanks!

I looked for a classical guitarist forever with no luck and ended up going with stringed instruments.  We are using Columbus Musicians.

We used Serenata Duo as our ceremony/cocktail hour music for our August 2010 wedding.  They are a acoustic guitar and flute duet. Margaret Kuhn is the flutist and who I worked with in the planning process. They did a wonderful job. They had a large repertoire of music to choose from, and also found and learned “Storybook Love” from The Princess Bride for my bridesmaids to walk in to.  Margaret also came to the rehearsal to make sure we were all on the same page for the ceremony. I would definitely recommend Serenata Duo if you want an elegant, beautiful sound for your wedding ceremony.  Their website has a lot of song samples and suggestions - link.

We are going with Micetro at this point for our string music. There is a harpist named Miriam who only charges $300, can't remember her last name.

Miriam Weber Brown and Trista Hill are both harpist we looked into.  Both charge a flat rate of $300.  FI and I had a hard time deciding who to choose, both ladies have wonderful reviews, same price, and were willing to play special request.  I'm sure you'd be just as happy with either too!  Goodluck

We have a harp/violin duo for our ceremony and we were directed to Fermata by our wedding planner. Fermata has just about anything you could think of to offer. Check out the website....and they're reasonably priced as far as I'm concerned :)

I know a harpist/flutist that is AMAZING.  She is in Toledo but will travel.  She's very reasonably priced.  As long as you are not getting married in mid-May (that's her wedding LOL).  Her name is Christina Muntz.  Here's her website:

I used Fermata also and thought their management was great and very reasonably priced for going through a third party. The best part is that if the musician you selected gets sick/ hurt/ etc the company will find you a replacement which gave me a little more piece of mind than just going with an individual. The musician was also amazing!

We also used Fermata for our ceremony musicians. We compared quotes between them and Paragon, and Fermata was less expensive. Although we used an organist, trumpeter, and cantor, there are plenty of other musicians they have available. Mitch was great to work with through the planning. We had a Catholic ceremony and he knew timing, all of the songs we had to play, and knew the ones we wanted played to play when we had a choice. The musicians and cantor were wonderful, and the music sounded so beautiful.
