HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Hello girls!  Just wanted to say Happy New Year!

I think everyone's gotten really caught up with holiday stuff, because the board's been really dead lately... but I think by now people's lives are probably getting back to normal work-wise and life-wise.

Anyone do anything fun over the Holidays?

FI and I went to NYC right before Xmas and got stuck there due to the blizzard, and that was quite an interesting experience...

I was sick last week, so we really didn't do much on NYE - we watched some Lost, and then went to sleep around 11:30 - but we did know it was midnight when we heard a bunch of fireworks going off outside!

I really didn't do much during my break, just played a lot of Rock Band.

I babysat on New Years (really needed the money), so it wasn't a huge night for us either.  NYE has never really been a big holiday for us, I was a swimmer in college and we were always on our team training trip in Fort Lauderdale from Dec. 26- Jan 7th.  So FI and I have only spent a few NYE's together in all our years of being together!  :(

FI went out with his friends, and I took my little guy to see Avatar with my family (SO GOOD!), and then we went to watch the ball drop at my aunt house before taking him home to bed.  FI had a lot too much to drink on NYE, and so he crashed early and we spent all New Years Day on the couch watching bowl games and Law and Order SVU marathon... nothing too exciting.

I've been able to get back into wedding planning since school's over, and all I'm doing now is studying for boards in hopefully February.  Today I've been home making e-mails and phone calls about health insurance, Pre-Cana marriage prep classes, and job applicaitions/interviews.  Lovely.  So much for studying today!

Happy New Year to you, too!  We had a low-key NYE (spent the evening with MOH and GM that are married to each other.)

I'm back into planning mode - only 4 1/2 months to go!
