Encore Media Pro/ JD the DJ?

A few days ago someone mentioned checking into this company for DJ/videography services.  I still need a videographer so I checked into them and they are offering a crazy good deal.  5 hours videography for $475 (regularly $875 which is still ridiculously cheap).    Does anyone have any feedback on him/them? I can't find any reviews on weddingwire (for Encore) for videography, which makes me a little nervous.  But even if they're only halfway decent it's probably worth the money.  Videography isn't even close to being a top priority but I still would like it.  Any feedback would be appreciated!

    I'm using them this weekend.  I will let you know how it goes.  Communication has been great w/them so far.

    Oh, good to know! Part of me thinks the price is too good to be true, but the other part thinks it would be worth it even if they just showed up! Do you know if they are a new company?  Good luck this weekend!

    I don't know.  My sister used the DJ John at her wedding in July and he was really good.  So I decided to use him for the wedding.  I kept going back and forth on getting a videographer and he told me about their $475 price package.  I ended up deciding to use them the last minute b/c FI grandma can't make it to the wedding.  I can't remember if it is his sister or wife that does the videotaping.  John does the editing.  I did ask him if he knows the rules for the church I am getting married in and he said they had done several weddings there before.  So far he has been really easy to deal with, but I will know more after sat.  I don't think there videos are as good as what you get when you pay 1200+, but they weren't bad and captured what I want done.  Hope that helps some.  I will definitely let you know more after the wedding.

    I haven't seen the video yet.  But they showed up on time and we hardly noticed they were there the whole day (which was exactly what we wanted).  They were extremely nice and professional.  Once we get the video, I will let you know how that turned out.
