In Need of Venue Suggestions Annapolis/DC Area

HI! We got engaged the end of March and I haven't done a thing except look at a few magazines.  I had originially wanted to get married later this year but my friends are telling me if I don't get a move on, most places on a saturday night will be booked.  I LOVE the chesapeak bay beach club but the info I received already seems like it's pretty pricey, but I LOVE the venue.  It appears we could be sending out about 180 invites but I'm hoping to have no more then 150 people.  We have people coming in from NY and Annapolis area so I'd like to have it near Annapolis or DC. Did I mention I'm also on a budget, I'm not sure what is considered a small budget but it seems like I could be in that arena.  I'd really like a place with alot of windows/tent/city view.  I like contemporary/funky/modern stylish details and hope the venue offers the same ambiance.  Sometime later 2010 or before April 2011. HELP! :)

Your friends are right...later 2010 might already be booked up.  It's already mid-April.

I just went to a wedding at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club on Saturday and the venue is beautiful.  They might be able to work on pricing with you.  Don't take all of the printed information to heart - a lot of places will negotiate.  We got married at the Westin in Annapolis and couldn't have been happier.  The hotel is amazing ... as is their service.  There are a ton of places in downtown Annapolis too - Marriott and The Lowes are the only two I can think of at the moment.  There's also the Chesapeake Beach Resort and Spa.
