Hey ladies! I never posted a lot here but I always appreciated reading vendor reviews. I actually think one of the ladies on TK actually pointed me toward my wonderful florist. Hopefully I can help another future bride!! My wedding was absolutely wonderful, and I owe a lot to my fantastic vendors.
Venue: Loews Hotel in Annapolis. I can't say enough about the service, the food and the coordinator there, Holly. We were extremely well taken care of during the pre-wedding planning and on the day of, Holly orchestrated everything perfectly. My guests were totally impressed.
Photographer: Colleen Dugan Losh, Bella Images Photography. Colleen is a friend and former co-worker, but that is not why we chose her. Her photos speak for themselves: they were totally fantastic. She had great ideas, took tons of shots, was not intrusive during the ceremony or reception and still managed to get amazing shots. She also provided a few sneak peeks:

We love love love Colleen and our great photos.
Florist: Flowers by Judy in Ellicott City. I had a hard time finding a florist in this area who was not flaky. A fellow Knottie recommended Judy and I am so glad, she was wonderful. Great to work with, awesome at communicating during planning and reasonably priced. The flowers were totally amazing, brilliant colors and exactly what I wanted.
DJ: Absolute Entertainment (Jami). This company was great to work with. When we first booked them an owner of the company did a demo for us, and then we met with Jami and she did one too. They totally "got us" and seemed to understand what we wanted. And they did! Jami did such a great job, the dance floor was never empty and she kept the party going great without being intrusive or making the night about her (like I've seen some DJs do). They were an awesome choice.
Limo: Diamond Limo in Waldorf. This vendor was great! A limo was a last-minute decision, as I was planning to not have a limo at all, but the company was great at communication during planning. On the day of, our driver Wanda arrived early. She manuevered a Hummer limo like it was a piece of cake, down narrow streets in a historical city with ease. She was so helpful in getting me in and out of the Hummer, and even stopped traffic in the middle of a bridge so we could get out and take photos and told us not to worry about the traffic, that she'd handle it. And she did. She was great.
Cake: Main Ingredient in Annapolis. This was a great choice. Many of our guests said it was the best wedding cake they'd ever had. It was delicious. A little on the pricey side but totally worth it. They were easy to communicate with and the cake was exactly what we wanted.
Those are the main vendors. I got my dress at David's Bridal in Bowie, MD. They did a great job with service, I was pleasantly surprised at the selection and I ended up with the perfect dress on the first try. A word of advice: go on a holiday. We went on 4th of July, and the place was DESERTED, so we got awesome service.
Good luck ladies! I hope I've offered some help. Enjoy the day, remember that you are THE rockstar of the day and smile!
