DJ Recommendation?

Hey fellow brides!
My FI and I were considering using an IPod/computer for our music- we know our taste and I've been to too many weddings were the DJ had a negative impact.  However, I'm beginning to think that things would run more smoothly with a DJ.  That being said- does anyone have any DJ recommendations? Thanks in advance! =)

We used David from Night Music and were thrilled!  Not only did David do a great job with the music, but a (good) DJ does a lot more than that.  He is your master of ceremonies, he keeps the timeline on track, does all the announcements and introductions.  A DJ can read the room and make adjustments with music and take requests if you like, an ipod cannot.  Also a DJ has professional equipment/speakers, so it would also sound a lot better with a DJ.
Night Music was a little more expensive than some other DJ companies, but we felt it was worth it for such a great product and service.  We just arranged our budget accordingly to make room for it because we thought it was really important to have a great DJ.  Good luck with your planning/search! :)

I highly recommend Mac23 Productions w/ DJ Daniel Custer.  Full disclosure, Daniel is a friend of mine, so I'm biased :)  He's very professional, a great  DJ, and an all-around really nice guy.  He started professionally DJing about a year ago, which is why he might not be a recognizable name, but has a great taste and knows a wide variety of music.  I plan on having him DJ my wedding once we start planning!

Jodi from Night Music was our DJ and we loved her! Very flexible with music and timeline, listened to what we wanted played, and kept the dance floor going until the end. And she wasn't cheesy at all! The benefit to having a DJ is that they can help time your wedding and judge what type of music should be played at the right time,  and they can encourage energy and enthusiasm from guests. But meet DJs in person. It's really important to find the right DJ who sees your vision and find someone who really blends well with your personalities, and Jodi was that DJ for us.
