If you have been to TheNest or TheBump then this format may feel a bit familiar to you, but there have been a lot of changes (and upgrades!) from the former layout of TheKnot message boards.

Feel free to play around with things, and post here if you have any questions or concerns.  I'll do my best to answer them, but keep in mind this is a learning process for me as well Smile

    If you look at the top where it says Community /> Local Boards > Maryland - Baltimore; clicking on Community should show you what your local "Home" is.  Does that make sense/work for you?

    I love it, looks good.  But so much better after I got rid of the knot TV!

    Hey, how come my siggy got deleted???  It's not showing up on my computer but when I look at my profile to edit it, it has all the links in there still...

    Never mind, now they are there. Strange.  I see that button at the top too about showing vs. not showing siggys.  But I never clicked or uclicked it... whatever!

    Is there a way to delete an old classified post?  There used to be an option to delete but now there's only one to edit.  Thanks!

    You can only delete threads that do not have any replies to them.  However, if you link the post here, or send me a Private Message with the link, I can take care of it for you.

    Do you mean the little ones on the side that say N, G, S, etc?  That's a "badge" and is determined by how many posts you have.
    From the FAQ:

    What are the icons that show up next to Knot Names?
    Next to a person's Knot Name you will see badges assigned by The Knot.  Currently we have rank badges and a My Inner Bride badge.

    The rank badges are:

    Newbie (you might have been lurking for quite some time, but you're new to posting)- 0-500 posts

    Bronze- 501-2000 posts

    Silver- 2001-6000 posts

    Gold- 6001-15000 posts

    Platinum- 15001 posts +
    Also, if you create a new My Inner Bride, you will receive the MIB badge,

    Remember how you could click on the notepad looking thing and see all the posts that you posted in, is there a way to do that? I am sure its obvious but I can't find it!

    Yes, but it doesn't currently work as well as the old system.  If you look under every person's posts, you'll see a little magnifying glass; clicking on that will show you all the posts that they've commented on. If you want to see your own posts, just click on the magnifying glass under a post that you have made.

    At the moment, when you click on it it only shows you the title of the post, which board it was on and the last time you made a post in that thread. Hopefully soon they'll fix it so when you click on the magnifying glass you can see who was the last person to post there, but since they have so many other issues to work out, I'm not sure how soon that will happen

    Hello I'm new to the boards.
    My fiance and I are getting married at the National Aquarium in Baltimore where he took me on our first date.  The underwater viewing room is perfect with a tank view of the dolphins, which we did not end up seeing that day.  Our wedding will be a sit down dinner with our closest family and friends, we will not have a reception because the loud music scares the dolphins.
    Our center pieces are going to be Blue Betta Fish in Vases with Water Lilly's and Betta Food in a heart shaped container.
    Our colors are Marine Blue and Ivory.
    Gowns including Mine are F13095 from davids bridal. Flower Girls are NM1211
