Hey everyone! Saw this on another forum and thought it might be fun! I'm kinda new to TK and havent yet gotten aquainted with everyone!

No set format or specific questions, just a standard intro - who are you, who's your SO, how long you've been together, how long you've been around TK, hobbies, interesting factoids about yourself, etc. Whatever you feel like sharing. Pics highly encouraged.

Who are you?  My name is Kaylee, originally from Newark, Ohio but now living in Delaware, Ohio.  I work for Anheuser-Busch YAY for BUDWEISER!

Who is your SO?  My fiance Chris is originally from Delaware and works for a privately owned company.

How long have you been together? We have been together a little over 4 years and were engaged on our 4 yr anniversary this past Valentines Day

How long have you been on TK?  Ive been browsing around since 12/5/10

When/where is your wedding?  Our date is 9/2/12 but havent yet decided on a venue!

What are your hobbies?  We are HUGE OSU fans!  We spend every weekend hanging out with friends, playing games, cooking out, drinking some beer and having a good time!  Love going to sporting events, concerts and being active... the last few years have started golfing more and LOVE IT!  I am also in love with photography and photo editing! 
 
Interesting facts and w/e else!  We have a german shepherd puppy who is 9 months named Mavrik Royce... so most of our time revolves around him! He is our lil monster but wouldnt have him any other way!

Who are you?  My name is Andria. I was born in Massachusett, raised in Maryland, and came here for law school

Who is your SO?  My fiance is Nathan, born and bred Ohio boy.

How long have you been together? We have been together for about three and a half years.

How long have you been on TK? Since end of March last year.

When/where is your wedding?  Our date is 7/9/11. Ceremony at Browning Amphitheater at OSU, and cocktail hour and reception at the Ohio Union.

What are your hobbies?  We both enjoy watching sports. He plays sports still. We love our puppies (two, though, they are two years old, so not really puppies anymore). I'm a big water fan, I love boating, skiing, and the like (that's what Maryland girls do)! I like to read, though I haven't really had too much time to do that.
 
Interesting facts and w/e else!  I'm a full-fledged attorney, I still can't believe it sometimes.  After 7 years of post-high school education, I thought it would never happen. We have two dogs, a Golden Retriever mix named Melo and a German Shepherd named Kane.  Melo turns 2 in May, Kane turned 2 at the end of December. They're my world (along with FI).  And, side note: Though I am Portuguese, and born and raised around water and seafood, I cannot stand it and hate being around a house when it's being cooked.  It smells so bad!

Who are you? My name is Melissa. My H and I are originally from central Ohio. We currently live in GA, but are moving back within the next month or so. I am an OSU alum.

Who's your SO? His name is Mike. He is a computer engineer.

How long you've been together?  just about 4.5 years

How long you've been around TK?  I joined right after my friend got married in the fall of 2009.

Hobbies? I love to read, work out, watch movies

Andria- Thanks! I would love to see a picture of your pups if you have any! And i agree that they will always be pups at heart!  What color is your shepherd? Ours is almost all black and tan legs... but he has some really unique coloring on his chest and face! I hope he stays dark!

Who are you?  My name is Amy and I am from Delaware.  Went to school in Bowling Green for 4 years then went to more school in Athens for 4 years! Long story short I wanted to be a physical therapist found out I hated it senior year now I am a nurse getting ready to take state boards on monday!

Who is your SO?  My fiance is Adam he also grew up in Delaware, we are high school sweethearts!  He went to 8 years of school in Athens.  He graduates from Med school on June 4th!

How long have you been together?  Jan 26th was our 10 year anniversary!

How long have you been on TK? Ohh wow I have been engaged for 2 and a half years so some where around that time.  I am an on again off again knottie I go thru phases where I post a lot and then, phases where I don't even log in for months at at time.

When/where is your wedding?  Our date is 5/14/2011...23 days Away!  AHH!  We are getting married and having out reception at the Makoy Center in Hilliard.

What are your hobbies?   well for the last 4 years we havn't really had hobbies with med school and nursing school and living in a boring area but we use to like to go skiing and boarding in the winter, golfing and playing any sports in the summer, we miss baseball and softball a lot and volleyball!  I love taking pictures and making scrapbooks and all that crafty stuff, I'm not very good but it is fun!  We both love going to sporting event but OU isn't very good at sports and it is a long drive to go to a lot of pro games.  We love the Blue Jackets! Adams life revolves around sports!
 
Interesting facts and w/e else!  We have a black cat named Snowball.  We call him Bob for short because we live in Athens and OU's mascot is the bobcat!  We are in contract fro a house in Hilliard and I am so excited to move and be closer to home again!  We ran a marathon together in 2005! umm i think that is about it!

Who are you? Hi I'm Tracey! From Toledo but I have been in Columbus since 2003.
Who is your SO?  My fiance is Will and he is from Dayton.

How long have you been together?   We have been together for 7 years (alot of off and on during those college years) what a rollercoaster! But I knew back then he was the one for me.

How long have you been on TK?  I refused to join until I had The Ring. But I joined in January, 2 weeks prior to the proposal, in order to start helping a cousin plan her wedding.

When/where is your wedding?  Kleem we are date twins! 9-2-12. Just seemed like a good idea with the long weekend because most of our guests will be coming from out of town. Still no venue yet.

What are your hobbies?  We too are HUGE OSU fans!  We met our freshman year at OSU so OSU means alot to both of us. We love to travel!
 
Interesting facts and w/e else!  OSU is also very special to us now because that is where he proposed! Right there in front of the Ohio Stadium. We have a 2 year old baby (puppy). I guess at 2 he is full grown but he's still my baby. He's a hound mix. We would LOVE for him to be in the wedding but he would need some serious training!

Maybe this board could lead to a G2G. I haven't seen one on the Columbus board since I joined. I feel like I'm always drowning my friends and coworkers in wedding talk and I don't want to be THAT girl. I try not to overload the FI either before he loses interest. I just need an outlet to talk about this wonderful event!

Who are you?  My name is Missy and I'm from Columbus and attended OSU. I work as a school nurse in a middle school.

Who is your SO?  My fiance Ryan grew up in the central Ohio area as well and also attended OSU, which is where we met.

How long have you been together? We have been together since 2005 and got engaged Christmas 2009.

How long have you been on TK?  I joined TK soon after getting engaged.

When/where is your wedding?   We are getting married on May 28, 2011 in Columbus.

What are your hobbies?  We love Ohio State football and basketball. We also like running and hanging out with friends and family.

Interesting facts and w/e else!  We are going on a cruise to the Bahamas for our honeymoon.

Who are you?  My name is Katlin and I'm originally from Loudonville, OH....Mohican country!!! I've lived in Columubs now for a little over a year.

Who is your SO?  My fiance Vance and he is originally from north west Ohio. He's lived in Columbus now for about 11 years.

How long have you been together? We've been together a year this past October.....so not very long!

How long have you been on TK?  Since '09, I think? I'm like others in that I'm on again off again, depending on my mood. I lurk quite a bit, but don't always post.

When/where is your wedding? Our wedding is August 20, 2011 and the ceremony and the reception will be at Valley Dale Ballroom 

What are your hobbies?  We both LOVE football! Well, pretty much any sport for that matter! We are Buckeyes and Browns fans and watch EVERY game throughout the season. Our lives pretty much revolve around it  I also enjoy cooking and working in my garden.

Interesting facts and w/e else!  Vance and I met on Eharmony He is 10 years older than I am and has been married before, but lost his wife 6 years ago to a pulmonary embolism. He really is the light of my life and I am SO lucky to have him!

That would be so awesome! I would love to meet you ladies. Actually we may be able to have one big 'ole gtg b/c some of the Ohio ladies on the E board (where I hang out a lot) have talked about having one in June or July. But we don't have to do one with them.

I know one of the ladies on here had one scheduled back in the fall if I remember correctly and had to cancel b/c people couldn't make it at the last minute.

Amy- What High School did you guys attend? You may know my FI!!! Congrats on all of your successes as well! I love living around Columbus! Hopefully moving will give you guys a chance to see more Jackets games!!!

Missy- Where are you guys having your wedding at? Only a month away... SO EXCITING!

Kaitlin- I LOVE it near Mohican! We venture up quite a few times during the year for canoeing and camping!

Tracey- we planned our date that day for the same reason as you!  We were thinking 9/1/12... OSU plays Miami (OH) that day and we assumed the game would be at noon, that way we could have our wedding at 6pm and my FI wouldnt have a cow that he was missing the game!  But we decided since we have that following monday off for labor day and have family coming from out of state that it would work out better to do the sunday wedding! Glad we think alike! your pup is adorable btw! my in laws have a beagle and hes such a goof ball! i love hounds! and i would LOVE to have mine in the wedding... but hed prolly just run around like a maniac the whole time!

Andria- your pups are adorable... i wanted an almost tan like yours or almost black GSD... i have always thought the non-traditional looking ones were the prettiest! took a few pics of mine last night to see his coloring!

also... we should try a lil G2G... my FI is the same way! never wants to talk about anything involving the wedding! Which is nice bc i can do whatever i want... but he has NO OPINION on ANYTHING! He says... "do whatever, im sure it will be great!" AHHHHHHH i want to punch him sometimes! lol

Who are you?  My name is Brenda, originally from Chicago area but now living in Groveport, OH and currently finishing my PhD at OSU and graduating in about a month

Who is your SO?  My fiance Tim is from Reynoldsburg and works for Chase.

How long have you been together? We have been together about 2 years

How long have you been on TK?  Ive been browsing around since about a month before we got engaged so June 2010.

When/where is your wedding?  Our date is 7/16/2011, the ceremony is at St. Peter's Church in Columbus and our reception is at the American Legion Hall in Westerville

What are your hobbies?  One of them is running especially marathons/half-marathons.  We actually met while training for the Columbus marathon two years ago and ran it again last year- although FI is way faster than me. We also enjoy going to BlueJackets and Crew games as well as watch a lot of sports on TV. 
 
Interesting facts and w/e else!  We have two cats named Milie and Moxie (which were mine and now live in our basement since FI is allergic) and a dog named Sam (who was FI and is unaware that there are cats downstairs).

Who are you?  My name is Emily, and I grew up in Columbus and still live here.  I'm graduating with my music education degree in two weeks!! Currently student teaching in Westerville and I love it.

Who is your SO?  My fiance is Adam.  He's from Michigan, but came here for school which is how we met.

How long have you been together? Just about 2.5 years

How long have you been on TK?  Since last summer, when we got engaged!

When/where is your wedding?  Our date is 11/5/11 and the ceremony and reception are in the Palm House at Franklin Park Conservatory

What are your hobbies?  We are huge OSU fans, love going out with friends, and spend a lot of time with my parents dogs (which we wish were ours!)
 
Interesting facts and w/e else!  We are both musicians.  I'm about to graduate with my music ed degree! We LOVE the beach, and are going on an Eastern Caribbean cruise for our honeymoon.  He proposed last summer on the beach while we were on vacation in South Carolina!

Who are you?  My name is Zakiya and I'm originally from Columbus.  I'm currently living in Washington state with my FI.  I went to school to be a perfusionist (we operate the heart-lung machine during heart surgeries), but I still have yet to find a job.

Who is your SO?  The boy's name is Donte` and he's a pharmaceutical sales rep for Pfizer's animal division.  He's originally from Dayton.

How long have you been together? We've been together for 8 years and have been good friends for 12 years since we met our freshman year of college.  Before I moved out here to Washington, we had a distance relationship for 7 years while I was finishing school.  That was rough!

How long have you been on TK?  I've been a member since 2006 back when my cousin got married and I was looking for hairstyles.  I didn't start posting on the boards though until I got engaged last May.

When/where is your wedding?  Our wedding is on July 2 (rapidly approaching!) at Heritage Golf Club in Hilliard.

What are your hobbies?  I love to read, shop, listen to music and do outdoor activities.  Both FI and I love to go cycling together and do adventurous things like whitewater rafting.  Washington is the perfect state for us. 
 
Interesting facts and w/e else!  We have 2 rottweilers named Titan and Gaia.  Titan's 4 and Gaia's only 8 months.  Titan's a huge dog and people are so afraid of him when they first meet him, but then they learn that he's the sweetest dog ever.  He thinks he's a lap dog!  Gaia is still a pup so while she's just the cutest thing ever she can be a pain in my a$$!!

Who are you?  My name is Kelly and I am originally from a place called Olmsted Falls near Cleveland. I came to Columbus for college in the Fall of 1998 and never left. 

Who is your SO?  My fiance is Eric. He's that guy that people always ask "did you play basketball?" because he is 6'7". He is an AGM for a local restaurant and an OSU graduate.

How long have you been together? We met while I was bartending at a local watering hole that is more like Cheers (everyone knows everyone else). We knew each other for about 6 months before we started dating. It's been just over 3 years that we have been together.

How long have you been on TK?  Since a few days after my brother's wedding when he told me he asked my parent's permission to marry me (he did it at the wedding). I didn't know when the proposal would be, and was really more or less in denial about the whole thing. But that's when I joined and started checking things out.

When/where is your wedding? 10/22/11. Ceremony at Browning Amphitheater on OSU campus and reception at the OSU Faculty Club.

What are your hobbies?  I am a former fencer for OSU and used to be pretty active in the gym and with other sports. We both play darts competitively and play in a dart league together (our date night, lol). I work in animal rescue, I guess that is a full-time hobby that doesn't pay, lol. We both also love to golf. 

Interesting facts and w/e else!  I'm vegan and FI is pescatarian (he eats fish but no mammals or birds).  We have 5 pit bulls in our house  Two of them are our dogs and 3 of them are fosters that we saved from cruelty/neglect cases. And yes, all 5 live together in perfect harmony!

We are getting married at Our Lady of Peace Church in Clintonville, and our reception is at Little Turtle Golf Club in Westerville. By the way.... just noticed you said you were from Newark. That is were my FI is from!

kelly... your dogs are GORGEOUS!  It's amazing that they get along so well after all they have had to endure. I was never allowed to have pets growing up so i couldnt wait to get my first dog.  My FI and i always said we would foster, but weve never had the money or space!

Who are you?  I'm Katy I work in healthcare, at Grant currently... working towards my RN slowly yet surely lol

Who is your SO?  My fiance is Mike... he's amazing He is a firefighter/paramedic and we met through work.

How long have you been together? Our first date was July 1st, 2010 ;p we've been engaged since christmas eve

How long have you been on TK?  since I got a little inkling of an idea that Mike might pop the question lol... early November?

When/where is your wedding?  11.18.11! We're getting married at the Double Tree - Worthington and having the reception across the street at the Jessing Center

What are your hobbies?  I'm a big crafter... I scrapbook when I have something fun, interesting or romantic to scrapbook about   I like to make the art I hang in my house, mostly pictures of friends and quotes.  I'm a quote ADDICT! I collect them lol.  I also love reading and of course spending every moment possible with FI  
 
Interesting facts and w/e else! Interesting facts... I was born in Mississippi, and have lived in 11 states military brat... hehe.  I love cats but I'm allergic to them... I have 4 furbabies 2 cats, 2 dogs, cats: Lola, Lucky, dogs: Libby, Lana... yes I like L's haha.  Oh and I LOVE diy for the wedding and life!  And I can't wait to be Mrs. Mike

Who are you? My name is Alexandra (Alex for short) and I'm Columbus born and raised. I have a fashion design degree and work for a national retailer's home office in Columbus.

Who is your SO?  My husband's name is Josh, also Columbus born and raised, and he currently works for the State, has his own side business, and is a couple quarters away from finishing his MBA. He wanted  career change and wants to move into the private sector, so getting another Master's degree was his best option (this is his second), and he's doing it in 5 quarters instead of 8.

How long have you been together? We've been together for almost 8 years, and we've been married almost a year. I can't believe it will be a year on May 8!

How long have you been on TK?  I've been a member for 5 or 6 years, but didn't really get into the boards until halfway into planning, about 2 yeas ago.

When/where is your wedding? We were married May 8, 2010, and had our ceremony at Mother of Mercy Chapel at St. Charles and our reception was at Creekside.

What are your hobbies?  I love art and fashion (of course!) but our hobbies together include traveling, going to local museums, festivals and exploring what Columbus and central Ohio has to offer. We live in German Village, and it's easy for us to do things in the city. We're not really big into sports, so that leaves a lot of time for us just to hang out together. We're also big foodies, so we love supporting local eateries and trying something new and interesting.
 
Interesting facts and w/e else!  I might be one of the odd ones out, but we have an adorable cat named Vinnie. He's 3 years old We adopted him from a shelter in December 2008. He follows us around the house and acts just like a person, and we love to spend time relaxing with him. 

My husband and I met through mutual friends in high school. I went to Bishop Hartley and had some friends that had dates with a group of friends at St. Charles for homecoming. One of the guys (Josh's friend) needed a date, and I didn't have a date, so we were set up on a blind date and decided to meet two weeks before homecoming. Well the same night I met Josh's friend, I met the rest of the group- including Josh. Josh and I hit it off immediately, and by the next week it was agreed by Josh and his friend that we would swap dates so Josh could go with me. Josh somehow got my phone number and called to ask me out for the upcoming weekend, and we've been together since. What's really funny is that Josh and this group of friends have been friends almost their whole lives, and these same friends were our groomsmen. When it came time to toss the garter at our wedding, guess who caught it? The friend I was supposed to go on the blind date with!

Who are you?  My name is Jenna.  I am originally from about an hr east of Columbus (Zanesville), but I wanted to move back closer to home after I finished college in Indiana about 3 years ago and wound up in Columbus.

Who is your SO?  My fiance's name is Cameron.  He is finishing up his education degree at Ohio Dominican University.

How long have you been together? We have been together almost 5 years (at the beginning of June), but we have known each other since we were 5 years old. 

How long have you been on TK?  Ive been browsing maybe Oct 2009...but we didn't get engaged until 7/2/2010 :-)

When/where is your wedding?  We are getting married 12/17/2010 at The Valley Dale Ballroom.

What are your hobbies?  The only "hobby" I really have time for right now is grad school.  (But I am finished in August, yay!!)  I loooove trying out new restaurants and really enjoy going to concerts.  However, my favorite thing to do is watch movies :-).
