Carmen and Bo (of Carmen Wang Photography) are just wonderful! They really take the time to make you feel comfortable and special, and you can tell that they want everything to be perfect. Their photos are beautiful and you could not ask for nicer people!
Our e-session was on the afternoon of Superbowl Sunday, but they did not rush us at all. We had originally planned to meet at noon, but they checked the weather the night before and recommended starting at a later time because it was supposed to be cold and rainy in the morning. How right they were! We pushed back the meeting time, and by the time we started, the rain had ended and the sky was clear! The lighting could not have been more perfect for the photos. This shows how much they prepared for our photo session.
Even though both my fiancé and I are from DC, we still weren’t sure where we wanted to take the photos. We told Carmen and Bo what we sort-of, kind-of wanted, and they pretty much listened to what we said (which was pretty unclear and vague) and took charge. It made things so much easier for us! We took pictures at some places we didn’t even know existed in DC, and I’ve lived here my whole life! It was very cold, so they recommended that we take both indoor and outdoor shots. This ended up giving us a variety of photos in different settings that were beautiful. It also gave us an opportunity to warm up. So thoughtful!
We really have to give both Carmen and Bo a big round of applause. My fiancé and I are both not very comfortable in front of the camera, but they worked with us and produced so many beautiful photos. It must not have been easy. You probably wouldn’t be able to tell from the pictures but we were very stiff and awkward! They took numerous shots at different angles, and told us where to look and how to stand. Some people might not need these types of instructions, but we certainly did. They were very helpful in instructing us on how to pose to get the best results. We could not have been happier with the results!
Our shots at Union Station were especially beautiful. We showed them to our friends, and were told that it looked like something straight out of a high-end fashion magazine. Their fine-art editing is just gorgeous!
