question about dress shopping

what does one wear to go wedding dress shopping with regards to underwear, specifically, the bra. if i want to try on back-less dresses, do i need a back-less bra? would my regular bra be just fine? stupid question, i know, but i've not ever been wedding dress shopping, so i don't know!

I would bring a strap-less nude or white bra if you have one. I wouldn't worry about beig backless or not unless you wind up getting a backless dress.

I wore a strapless, though a lot of places have them for you to borrow if you want.  It showed in the back but I was still able to get an idea of how it would be, especially since it was a nude bra.

Also, you may want to consider wearing boyshorts or something with a little more coverage (not, say, a thong), because it's a bit awkward standing there with your butt hanging out!

I just wore a normal bra when I went (I wasn't really planning on trying on dresses then).  I just pulled the straps down, I'm not too fond of using the bras that the stores provide.

Almost all bridal shops will sell the necessary undergarments, so they should have them available for you to use when trying on dresses.  If you'd prefer not to borrow one from the store, just wear a plain strapless bra.

I actually tried on my wedding dresses without a bra.  I am very small up top so my plan was to have the bra built into the dress.

I wore a regular bra and pulled the straps down as well.  HTH!
