Annoyed - RSVP's!

So my response date was today and I have not received many responses!!!

I invited 125 guests, 61 are coming and 10 are not.  So I am missing responses from 54 guests!!!! Most of them are FI's guests. I am so annoyed right now.  I could see maybe 10-15 not respond by the deadline, even 25 but 54!!!!!  I'm going to see how many I get on Saturday and Monday and then start making calls.  Another concern is that my friend told me a few weeks ago that she did not receive an invite.  The invite ended up coming back to my house completely destroyed and opened!!!  Now my FI was talking to one of his groomsman two days ago and he mentioned that he hasn't received an invite.  We sent them out 4 weeks ago.

I am so annoyed with this because now I don't know who or who hasn't received an invitation.  I know some people never respond by the deadline but 54 just seems like an awful lot!

BTW, does anyone know why the avatar pic changed?  And I can't update my response counter.... oh well.

On another note, today is four weeks until the wedding!

    I'm sorry to hear that. I would be highly annoyed as well.  I would give everyone until Monday like you said before I started making calls.  When you do make calls, I'd mention that you know of two people who did not recieve their invite so you were making sure they got one.

    Wait a week to start making calls.  You will be surprised how many you get within the week!

    Tmm - I think you are right, I received 6 calls today from people saying they sent it out today (this accounts for about 15 guests).   It still annoys me though because I have to place orders this week and the orders depend on how many people are coming to the wedding (programs, place cards, etc.). I just don't know why it's so hard to respond to a wedding... i addressed the envelopes and put a stamp on it, the only thing they have to do is write their name, check if their coming or not and put how many are in their party. ahhh!!! venting....

    Ugh.  I know exactly how you feel.  I agree with PPs - wait a few days and then start to call as a "gentle reminder".

    Ugh sorry to hear this- start making calls on monday. I guess that's all you can do? So not polite ( of them!)! I mean how hard is it to give someone a call and say we are coming? And yeah, I heard from the other boards that the avatars are messed up- annoying!
