    After making me breakfast in bed in our living room.

    The Anchor Inn in Pasadena, MD (owned by uptown catering/celebrations)

    Why are you having your wedding in MD?
    I was born and raised in MD and all my family and friends are here!

    Is the FI planning any part of the wedding?
    He is taking care of the honeymoon and the DJ =)

    What is your favorite part of the planning process?
    Shopping, I love love love shopping!

    His face when he first sees me all dressed up in my wedding dress, plus the amazing reception Im planning! =)

    How did he propose?
    Sooner then he wanted. I messed his plans all up! We were sitting in the basement of his friends house where he was staying at the time. We had been waiting nearly 2-3 months for my ring to come in or so we thought. Turns out when they put the order in they put it in as a store item and not a customer item. So it was sitting in the office for like a month or more!!!! I was sooooo furious. I was complaining to him on St. Pattys day that if they didnt have the ring by the end of the following week i was going to go cuss them out. Well he couldnt keep it in any longer and got down on one knee in front of me and asked me to marry him! He had gotten the ring earlier in the week!

    Where are you getting married?
    Papa Leones Banquet Hall in Dundalk

    What are your colors?
    Black, Cherry Red, champagne

    Why are you having your wedding in MD?
    Cuz this is where we were both born and raised! Most of our family and friends are here and if they arent they arent to far away.

    Is the FI planning any part of the wedding?
    Not really! I have done most everything on my own and i tell you i really wish he would help more.

    What is your favorite part of the planning process?
    Not really sure honestly.

    What are you most looking forward to on your wedding day? 
    The whole planning process being done and over with! lol

    How did he propose?
    One morning with our 3 dogs cuddled up around us.

    Where are you getting married?
    The Valley Country club in Baltimore

    What are your colors?
    Lapis (Dark Purple)

    Why are you having your wedding in MD?
    We were both born and raised in Baltimore

    Is the FI planning any part of the wedding?
    On his own? No, but he is helping with the DJ, honeymoon, cake, and food.

    What is your favorite part of the planning process?
    That I have a bunch of friends that recently got married and can help since I am planning the wedding in less than 4 months time.

    What are you most looking forward to on your wedding day? 
    I like what the above poster said about his face when he first sees me. And I can't wait to be at a resort for a week after the wedding :)

    Where are you getting married?
    ceremony: St. Pius X church
    Reception: Hunt Valley Country Club

    What are your colors?
    purple, ivory, (not sure what else: torn between green or yellow)

    Why are you having your wedding in MD?
    We were both born and raised in Maryland

    Is the FI planning any part of the wedding?
    He has been going to different appointments with me and gives me his opinions. He is doing the DJ.

    What is your favorite part of the planning process?
    Shopping and spending time with my mom and sister.

    IHim seeing me when I walk down the aisle and celebrating the day wih family and friends!

    How did he propose? 
    I had just gotten home after work, around dinnertime, and I'd had a really stressful day. I was in the mood where I just wanted to go to bed to wake up and have a new start.  While I was in the kitchen throwing food together for dinner, he came in and proposed with the ring :).  It was perfect for the way we are, nothing too planned out and someplace personal. 

    Where are you getting married?
    Gramercy Mansion in Stevenson

    What are your colors?
    All shades of white/ivory/cream with navy bridesmaids dresses and minor accents.

    Why are you having your wedding in MD?
    Both of us are true Marylanders--I couldn't think of having it anywhere else!

    Is the FI planning any part of the wedding?
    He's shown some interest in the music and food but the rest he'd rather not deal with.  He wanted to run away and get married so we're really just doing the big traditional wedding for me (and of course our families).  He's also taking the main role in honeymoon planning though.

    What is your favorite part of the planning process?
    Everything! I've been having a blast--from scoping out new ideas to incorporate into our reception to dress shopping to meeting with photographers.

    What are you most looking forward to on your wedding day?  
    The first glance my fiance sees of me when I walk down the isle.  I can't wait to see his reaction :).

    How did he propose?
    On a bench in Fells Point at the end of Bond St. Wharf.

    Where are you getting married?
    Cafe de Paris in Columbia

    What are your colors?
    Pink and orange - bright for both!

    Why are you having your wedding in MD?
    We both live here now and will for as long as we can tell. Plus, I was born and raised here.

    Is the FI planning any part of the wedding?
    He's been helping me with just about everything. Right now is is in charge of communicating with the venue and researching our honeymoon.

    What is your favorite part of the planning process?
    Making things to use on our wedding day, even if I'm not always great at it!

    What are you most looking forward to on your wedding day?
    Finally being married to this man who changed my life.

    What, if any, part of the wedding planning process has become stressful for you?
    BUDGET! I hate hate hate monitoring the budget, but we're paying for this ourselves and we have a limited budget so it has to be watched very carefully.

    How did he propose? on the couch, in our PJs, after having dinner at Ruth's Chris (and seeing Joe Flacco there!)

    Is the FI planning any part of the wedding? he's been really good, actually; in addition to helping, he was in charge of the photographer and now is working out the RD.  He's also been a great go-between with FMIL

    How did he propose? He completely caught me offguard when he dropped to one knee during a walk at a local park!

    Where are you getting married? St. Joseph Fullerton Church on Belair Rd for the Ceremony then reception at Hillendale Country Club

    What are your colors? shades of blue w/ orange accents

    Why are you having your wedding in MD? Because this is our home!

    Is the FI planning any part of the wedding? He's helping Tongue out

    What is your favorite part of the planning process? So far I'm loving it! I love making plans!

    Have always lived in MD, as well as our family and friends.

    Is the FI planning any part of the wedding?
    He likes to know what is going on, and accompanies me on some appointments. He is most excited for cake tasting, though!

    What is your favorite part of the planning process?
    I am honestly loving all of it...I love organizing and planning things - it's absolutely a dream for me to plan something from start to finish and get to make all of the choices and decisions!

    What are you most looking forward to on your wedding day? 
    Saying 'I Do!"

    What, if any, part of the wedding planning process has become stressful for you?
    Coordinating availability for my date with church, priest, and reception...so glad that was the first thing, hopefully things will continue to sail smoothly for me

    June 4, 2011- Ashley we are date twins!

    How did he propose? 

    We were leaving for a cruise vacation with his family on a Thursday so we went to happy hour after work on Wed.  He wanted to go out for more drinks but I wanted to go home and finish packing.  Once we got home I darted for the bathroom and he yelled to me not to touch anything.  I thought that was weird until I got to the bathroom and saw an envelope with "Let's play a game" written on it.  I waited for him and he said he got me a present to make me feel better about not finding a good dress to wear on the captain’s dinner when his mom and sister were wearing super nice dresses.  I followed the scavenger hunt till the end and the last clue was "I just have one more question"  I was yelling at him for giving me a clue I could not follow until I realized he was using my middle name on one knee.

    Greensburg, PA

    What are your colors?
    Blue, Green and Purple (David's Bridal calls the blue and purple marine and sangria)

    Why are you having your wedding in MD?
    We are not, we just moved to the area.

    Is the FI planning any part of the wedding?
    Hahahhahahahahhahahahaha

    What is your favorite part of the planning process?
    Making google document lists and getting things cheaper than my mother says I can.

    What are you most looking forward to on your wedding day? 
    Getting to spend the day with everyone back home.  I miss them!

    What, if any, part of the wedding planning process has become stressful for you?
    I set a one vendor/ item a week plan so I would not get stressed out worrying about several things at once.  So far it has worked out well and we have lots of things done.

    How did he propose? In Philadelphia-he planned a whole romantic weekend away!

    Where are you getting married? Antrim 1844

    What are your colors? gray, platinum, and red with touches of damask

    Why are you having your wedding in MD? We both live here now and love it!

    Is the FI planning any part of the wedding? Yes-he is very involved and pretty much did the whole honeymoon

    What is your favorite part of the planning process? Knotting is up there!  The tastings we fun too!

    What are you most looking forward to on your wedding day?  Everything-seeing FI for the first time, having my dad walk me down the aisle, our first dance, the food, the cake, spending time with our friends and family!

    We were on a Hawaii cruise and it was when we went back to our room after have a wonderful time at a luau on Kauai with my family.

    Why are you having your wedding in MD? We live here, but we were going to Vegas but my Grandmother won't fly. She will drive up here with my aunt, so here it is.

    Is the FI planning any part of the wedding? He's been a great help. Very hands on.

    How did he propose? While we were eating dessert at Antrim 1844

    Where are you getting married? Same as Dawn...Antrim

    What are your colors? Brown bridesmaid dresses with flowers that are all the fall colors...golds, red, oranges, etc

    Why are you having your wedding in MD? We grew up here!

    Is the FI planning any part of the wedding? He helps....his big thing is planning the honeymoon

    What is your favorite part of the planning process? shopping!

    What are you most looking forward to on your wedding day?     putting on my gorgeous dress and seeing my hubby to be for the first time!

    How did he propose?  He proposed in front of my family during Christmas of 09. It was amazing!!!

    Where are you getting married? Sheraton-Washington North, Beltsville, MD

    What are your colors? Shades of purple with silver & gray accents

    Why are you having your wedding in MD? Cheaper than NYC where I am from and easier to plan when you live in the same state

    Is the FI planning any part of the wedding?  Yes, I love it. So far he has tons of opinions and ideas.

    What is your favorite part of the planning process? Trying on wedding dresses. So much fun!

    What are you most looking forward to on your wedding day?  saying our vows, being pronounce husband & wife!,having our families come together.
