Recommendation Needed - Catholic Churches in Baltimore City

Hi ladies,

I am in desperate need of Catholic Church recommendations for my wedding ceremony in Baltimore City.

The guest list is 90, so smaller chapels can be considered, and are actually preferred. I'd like to stay away from larger Churches like the Cathedral, since I do not have the guest list to fill it and would prefer a more intimate setting.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Sacret Heart of Canton is gorgeous, my great great aunt goes there.

Shrine of the Little Flower is where my parents and literally everyone on my mom's side of the family got married.  It is absolutley beautiful, but the neighborhood has really gone downhill (BelAir-Edison neighborhood in the city, right but Herring Run Park and Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery) which is why we chose not to get married there.

Also, Holy Cross Church in Federal Hill is very pretty.  There are tons of other Catholic churches in Fed Hill.

Baltimore has tons of old Catholic churches, so you're in just the right place.  I imagine though that most of them are a little bigger (holding at least 200-300).

We're getting married in the chapel at my alma mater, the College of Notre Dame of Maryland, which falls under the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen (riht down the street for CND).  The chapel holds 220.

    Good luck!

There's a really pretty church right on Charles St. near JHU, it's called St. James and Philip or something (I always noticed the two names).  Whenever I pass it I think it would be a really pretty place to have a wedding.  There are also a few old churches in Mt. Vernon right near the Washington Monument, I'm not sure if they are all Catholic.

Thank you all for your input! I've lived in Baltimore suburbs my entire life and never realized how little I knew about my options downtown (always attended church at my home parish). I'm going to check some of your suggestions out this evening!!

Go to archbalt.org It is the Archdiocese of Baltimore's website. They have all of the parishes listed and you can narrow them down by location.
