Affordable wedding band

I'm looking for a band for my wedding at the end of March...hoping to find someone that can play some irish songs too....any suggestions???

I'm not sure about what bands can play Irish songs, but these two agencies represent probably most of the wedding bands in the area - it's a good place to start to watch videos and look at song lists:

And I don't know what your definition of affordable is, but the bands seem to range between $4500-10000. I'm using Millenium and have had friends use Doctor's Orders and Nightlife and they've all been good.

One suggestion I have is that you'll have some bargaining power with a wedding in the "off season." My friend had a wedding at the end of November and she said she was able to talk them down quite a bit by contacting them directly rather than going through the management agency.

Yup.  It's a sad reality.  This week we've finalized that we are switching bands (5 weeks out from our wedding!) because our original band was just too expensive and we could not justify the need. 
We're now using Radiant.... my best friend is using them for her wedding in 10 days, and she's also been to a wedding in '08 where Radiant played.  I am so excited, they're supposed to be great.  Luckily, they come in under the $4500 price tag.... which we found hard to come by!  Not sure if they play Irish or not.......

wow, thanks a lot! I am really clueless about pricing for all of this wedding stuff. I actually thought I could find something under 3000 but it sounds nearly impossible. I will definitely look into what you all provided.
