I'm on a budget and am considering Giant Eagle for a wedding cake.  Any recommendations?

I can't comment on style but we got a Giant Eagle sheet cake for my sister's graduation and it was delicious.

Giant Eagle has great cakes. When my now fiance graduated from college last year, I bought a whole sheet cake from Giant Eagle and everyone commented that it was absolutely delicious. The leftovers even stayed fresh for a few days.

I didn't use Giant Eagle, but I will say this: I visited Kroger (in New Albany) the other day, and I saw their bakery had fontant cakes that looked just lovely! And they looked perfect for making a 3 or 4-tiered cake. I'd definitely have considered it if I knew while planning!

Wow!  That's a kroger cake?!  That's AWESOME!!!  I'll be sure to visit some of these krogers!!  Did Victor do that outside of Kroger or through Kroger?

No Victor works for Kroger, he is just the lead Baker. I found the totally, for our cake we only paid $350. That came out to be $1.25 a slice.

I grew up with Giant Eagle and they are my favorite cakes.  While we didn't use them for our wedding cake (came with the reception package) my friend did.  The cake was beautiful and tasted great.  Her one year anniversary was earlier this month and when we talked the other evening, she commented on the fact that her cake was as good a year later as it was at her wedding.  A big hit, and no one knew any better.

My fiance and I are considering a Giant Eagle cake.  Since this is an older post... Can anyone tell me if a Giant Eagle wedding cake worked out for them?
I dreamed of a wedding of elaborate elegance, A church filled with family and friends. I asked him what kind of a wedding he wished for, He said one that would make me his wife.
