Pretty yet inexpenxive venue

I have been trying to find a nice, afforadable evnue in Columbus. Most places I have looked wil cost about 3-5,000 dollars (with food/drinks/tax/etc) and I don't think I can pay that much...any suggestions? Thanks

I think that is actually on the cheaper side of things to be honest with you. What about renting just a facility/party hall somewhere and cater in your own food and drinks and alcohol if allowed or if you desire it. Or you could try a state park if you want an outdoor wedding, but you will not be allowed to have alcohol there obviously. The last thing I can think of is a backyard/home reception and/or ceremony. Again, you would have to either cater or prepare all of the food and drinks for it as well.

There are many venues in Columbus that have minimums especially for Friday and Saturday weddings. So just be careful of those as you are looking at different places.

I agree with MissySue, the price you mention if it includes food, drinks, etc. is actually very reasonable. If you want to spend less you probably need to think about either doing the food yourself or perhaps just doing a cake and punch reception, or maybe heavy hors d'oeurves instead of dinner.
