engagement party ideas

I just recently became engaged and am going to be getting married next summer. I would like to have an engagement party and was thinking about  having one at a resturant maybe downtown. Just wanted some suggestions as to wehre to have the party.

    Not sure what timeline you're looking at, but  once it's nicer out Little Havana has a great outdoor space right on the water!

    ditto PP- Little Havana is great in the summertime because it's right on the water, but if people want to take a break you can go indoors and it's really big inside with lots of billiards (if I remember correctly).  

    Our RD is at the Rusty Scupper, and that would be a great space, too.  Has a big outdoor deck as well, and they give you the entire upstairs.  Little Havana might be a little more budget friendly, though.  

    Another place to look into is Slainte in Fells Point.  It's an Irish Pub right on Thames St. and you can rent the second floor.  One of our GMs had his college grad party there and it was so fun and their food was delicious.  In the summer I think they open up all the windows and it looks right out at the harbor.
