Hi everyone! I'm actually a recent bride who was married in Rhode Island by an amazing officiant named Reverend Mary Powers. RI brides have lost a great officiant in Mary Powers - she recently moved to MD and will be performing ceremonies there from now on. I just thought I'd pass along information about our great experience with her in case anyone here is looking for an officiant. She has a number of good reviews on Wedding Wire as well.
Reverend Powers was very warm and friendly and understood our senses of humor, which was a huge plus for us. She worked so well with my parents who were singing during the ceremony and gave us many options for our ceremony readings/vows/ring exchange blessings, etc. She performs the ceremony that you would like, so you can customize it as much or as little as you'd like. She also was a huge calming force during our rehearsal. Everyone commented on how beautiful our ceremony was and how it seemed like she had known us for a long time. She's also very affordable, which was a huge plus for us. I can't recommend her highly enough!
