Day of Wedding Coordinator Pricing

Hello! I am wondering what I can expect to pay for a day-of wedding coordinator in the Baltimore area. Any recommendations and pricing would be great!!

Everyone that was recommended to me seemed to be in the $1100+ range. It was too steep for my budget, so we went with an out-of-state coordinator, Phebe from Making Me Event Planning Firm. Even with her travel fees, she came in under $900. She was fantastic and I highly recommend her.

IMO, you really don't need a DOC unless you have rented, say, a loft space, through a private owner thus the need for a DOC.....but if you are having your reception at a prominant event space (hotel, inns, museums) that always have weddings then they most likely already have an events coordinator which will do the same thing as a DOC and putting both of them together could cause major tension.

Mine was $700 - Briana Dixon from Nouvelle Weddings & Events. I would totally disagree with saying its only for loft spaces. My caterer was supposed to be our cordinator but they would not have done all the thngs that a DOC does which would have left it up to me or my family on the day off (like all the details we planned, center pieces, programs, our escort card table, decorations around the venue etc.).  She also helped a lot in the 2 weeks leading up to it and made sure all the vendors were on the same page, etc.

Check out Margo with Bright Occasions - http://thebrightoccasions.com/

Her rates are extemely reasonable -$900 for rehearsal/wedding, $500 for the day.

I also disagree that wedding coordinators are not needed - mine met with me a couple months ahead, contacted all vendors to confirm timeline, directions, etc. and was the first to arrive/last to leave.  It really helped my husband and family to be able to not worry about a thing and just celebrate that day!

Yes some venues and caterers provide their own event planners, but IMO - they are really just there to represent the venue/catering company.
  • I second Heidi at Entertain Me. She was beyond amazing
  • DIY for us.  A lot of work; at the end of day it is a big achievement.  Getting a planner is you have money, it is worth it.

  • Check out Sweet Sensations LLC.  DOC starts at $650 and includes more than just the day of!!!
