Has anyone heard anything on The Richwood Plantation or Ashton Hall Mansion...I live in Chicago and planning my wedding in Kentucky....before we drive down to check it out wanted to know if anyone has heard anything...

    My sister got married at the Richwood Plantation last year.  It was an absolutely stunning plantation I loved it!  It was a mini destination so all of our family and close friends got to stay right there all together and it was really nice.  It was a smaller wedding, about 60 people... the inside reception room probably wouldn't be comfortable with much more but if you plan to move the reception outside there's plenty of room.  I highly recommend it!

    There are loads of historic homes (farmington, locust grove, peterson-dumesnil house) in the Louisville area too, which might help if you have out of town guests and 'something to do' is an issue. Maybe you could check those out too if you are in the area.
