Officiant Fee

We our having my fiance's family's minister officiate our ceremony and he did not tell us a price.  We are going to pay him, but I have no idea what an average price is.  What do people usually pay?

I think it often depends on the type of church they belong to and the type of service being performed.  I would ask some recently married couples in your church to see what they think.  And, often the actual officiant won't quote a price as it is supposed to be considered a donation.
