Have any of you girls had an experience with a limo company from st. louis?I have heard alot of horror stories about the limos in st. louis from co-workers and friends(showing up late, the engine starting on fire on hwy 40, not getting the limo you ordered, having a drunk chaufeur, not having the limo show up at all, etc.).Have any of you girls used the following limo companies (how was your experience?)St. Louis TransportationXtreme LimoJED LimousinesBest Transportation of St. LouisA Perfect Touch LimosCountry Club LimosGem TrasnportationChampagne LimousinesPresidential LimousinesSorry I need a way to get my bridal party around but to pay that kind of $$ to only use the limo for 2 hours just want to make sure i'm getting a good service

I'm having a trolley instead of a limo, but people had recommended JED and Best Transportation to me for limos.

I've heard a lot of good things about Best Transportation of St. Louis.  Although I think we may book St. Louis Transportation.  Their price is almost half the cost of Best Transporation and I've heard a couple good things about the place.FI and I are going to check out their limos/buses this week.  I can let you know how it goes.

I have an appointment tomorrow to go view the limos / buses at St. Louis Transportation. They by far have the best prices and customer service... lets just hope the company is just as good!

We booked St. Louis Transportation. I didnt view the limos, but for the price, I dont really mind if its not as fancy as some of the other ones. I dont need a tv, bar, etc. Just wheels and a driver, lol!

Totally... just to fowarn you I'm going to look at the 13 passenger shuttle. Its not the prettiest thing in the world but it has 4 wheels and looks ok. I'm bringing a camera with me so if you want to see the pictures lemme know. Any limos you have in mind? I'll reply to this post with what I find. So far from what I have found from researching is St. Louis Transportation is its not better business acreditted but they have no complaints or open complaints, which is a good thing. St. Louis Transportation goes by another name named Premiere Sedan LLC. Its the corporate transportation side. But on the BBB it has a A- rating... it had 1 open complaint regarding customer service. i guess someone called for rates but the customer wasn't called back? From google searching wasn't able to find any complaints... also, they are backed by national limousine association. I am going to call them tomorrow to find out more information about the company. Also, I posted on the st. louis board at the beginning of the year and 2 girls recommended st. louis transportation.... they had good experiences.... so it seems like an ok company.

Thank you for that information!  That's great to hear multiple people have had a good experience with them.  I think that was what I was initially nervous about when I first saw their website - I had never heard of them before.You'll have to let me know your thoughts about the 13 passenger limo.  I think we're going to be looking at the 24-28 passenger party bus or coach, but we'll see.  Hopefully we can get out there next week to look at everything.  Thanks again!

My friend used A Perfect Touch Limos, and they were great.  The limo was awesome, the service was great, and she said they were really good to work with. Although a lot of places require a minimum of 3 our 4 hours, depending on what month/day/time of day you want, just an FYI.

As requested an overview with St. Louis Transportation. 1) St. Louis Transportation, Premiere Sedan LLC, Primo Ground Transportation and Silver Star Transportation were all separate companies in the past. They decided to join together to create one big company under the name St. Louis Transportation. 2) St. Louis Transportation (and the other companies) are/were members of the National Limo Association (nlaride.com). NLA is is where corporations can enter complaints. No complaints are on file for any of the company names 3) The attorney general - consumer complaints department only had 1 complaint that they were able to find when checking all 4 company names. The complaint was made in 2005 against Premiere Sedan LLC it was an automobile complaint. The issue was resolved between the consumer and Premiere Sedan LLC. 4) The Secretary of State - Fraud Department had nothing on file regarding any of the 4 company names. 5) When I contacted the Chamber of Commerce none of the company names were in the database. All that means is none of these companies are members of the chamber of commerce. The gals at C of C told me to check the better business bureau.... this what bbb had to say 1. St. Louis Transportation - not bbb accredited (meaning they aren't members). No complaints 2. Premiere Sedan LLC - not bbb accredited (meaning they aren't members). but they were provided a bbb grade of an A-. No complaints. 3. Primo Ground Transportation - doesn't pull up in the search 4. Silver Star Transportation - doesn't pull up in the search So my experience when I went to their office I was greeted by a gentleman (I forgot his name) and he doubled checked to see what limos were still available for my date. .. major point for them for doing this! (Wedding is 10-10-09 and I guess that is homecoming week for the area!) I was then taken to the bus which was outside. I was allowed take pictures. I noticed that the seats on the shuttle bus were slightly bigger than in a normal stretch limo. So The gentleman confirmed my observation that the shuttles are bucket seats and the normal stretch limos are slightly smaller. So if your concerned about space... the rule of thumb is if its a 10 passenger limo it can only fit 8 adults in formalwear comfortably. Moving on.... the bus was very clean, didn't smell bad at all and from what I saw the shuttle was kept up well. So more checks. I had actually brought up questions as to what chamber of commerce they were members of, and it sparked the conversation that I was doing research. He was very opened and honest in answering my interrogation questions (or so it seemed). The questions I had asked was have they had a situation where a client who had rented a limo had maintenance problems, how did they handle the situation. How are they able to have better rates? Background checks on drivers, have they ever had a driver drink on the job? Are they usually on time or late. etc. The guy was very patient with me and answered all the questions with a smile on his face Another check most vendors get annoyed with me. He let me see (and take pictures) of the lincoln town car and the cadillac sedan. We are doing a wedding package so we are getting a getaway car. He actually let me read the contract before he started to talk to me. I appreciate it when vendors allow me to read the contract rather than distract me. Contract seemed solid he answered questions I had and the two demands I had. (Which was to include the license plate numbers of the cars we are renting and the name of the drivers on the contract). He walked me through how the rental day would work.... which was helpful I hadn't though of a few items such as asking the driver to call my hotel room to let me know the limo is there so I won't start the day off running late! The company is willing to work with you if lets say an accident occurred that shut down a highway... you won't be charged the full overtime for the additional time because its out of your control. Finally, they take referrals (so if any gals decide to book st. louis transportation and you want to be really nice and mention my name you and i both will get a benefit) If you would like to see pictures I have some of the lincoln town car, cadillac sedan and 13 passenger airport shuttle. If you need any other information on other companies in the area I did check into two others.  (They didn't turn out as well as St. Louis Transportation and were more expensive)

I know I'm really late on this but thought I'd chime in. I hired A Perfect Touch Limo for my friend's bachelorette party last year and they were great.  They didn't get lost in IL (which I've heard is common for St. Louis limo companies) and our limo driver was awesome!!  While we were inside one of the bars it had started to pour and when we came outside the driver got an umbrella out of the trunk and escorted each one of us back to the limo with the umbrella! We're not hiring a limo for our wedding, but that was my experience with them. For you IL brides, I've heard Kelly's Limo is really bad, so I'd be wary of them.

Kelly's recently changed hands, so that may be why there are some issues.  I'd give them a couple months to get their heads on straight and then give them a try.
