Vendor reviews! 8.1.09

Hello Knotties! I have a few vendors to review from my wedding - if you would like more in-depth detail, message me and we can chat! Alterations: Leonard's Tailoring - in Brentwood, he did a meticulous job and was a haven for brides who did not have in-house alterations available! Flowers: The Special Event Florist/Tina Barrera - my flowers were exactly what I wanted - and I was a picky bride! Tina worked with me and gave me gorgeous peonies in August (how, I have no idea), and really went above and beyond. I was at first a little leary to use someone who did not have a showroom - but you end up saving a bunch and just getting to use that towards more blooms! Chair Covers: Weddings Complete came through and delivered on their chair cover promises - despite previous posts about service, etc. They were prompt, exactly as I ordered, and even brought extra to the venue in case they were needed. Besides - at 2 dollars a cover (including sash) - can you go wrong? Linens - Weinhardt - did a fine job with set up and breakdown, no complaints here. Band - Downtime Productions. This was the BEST decision we made for the wedding! The live band got everyone dancing - and they were great emcees for the evening as well. Photographer - Lisa Hessel - her skills as a photog are beyond amazing. Her eye for an interesting shot goes beyond the typical wedding photography, and she is amazing to work with. Highly recommend her! Wedding Favors: Dad's Cookie Company made chocolate arches for our guests - which were a big hit! Great STL favor! String Quartet for ceremony - Serenade Strings - very reasonable and played exactly what I wanted. No complaints! Younger quartet too - so it wasn't a bunch of really old women/men playing. Really seemed appropriate for a 20-something affair. Whew! All for now! Will post a photo soon!
