photographer help!

I am trying to find a great photographer in the $2000-2500 range.  I'm looking for more of a photojournalistic approach, mixed with a little traditional, but not someone who just started doing weddings.  I also want to make sure that we can get a CD w/copyright release of all our images, preferably included in the package.  We have met with four so far and liked a couple, but I'm looking for other suggestions that we may have missed.  Thanks!

Check out Artistic View if you haven't already - our package is within that price, 7 hours, 2 photographers for most of the time, edits, album, and high resolution DVD of the edited photos. I have so many friends who haven't been able to get an album after the wedding because they spent so much on everything else and didn't remember ot budget for it, so getting an album as part of the package sounded great to me

Who have you met with? I think SJMacky, Jodi Sclosser, Kelly Parks, Starry Eyed Studios, Megan Thiele would all meet those requirements.

Lance Omar Thurman!  Look into him, he definitely fits the criteria you just listed.  He and his wife were great to work with.  He just does an "a la carte" style, so you can create your own package based on what you want.  Check him out at www.lanceomarthurman.com .  Some of my wedding pictures are in the link in my siggy, too.  Good luck!

Hi Amy,Brigid Robeen does great work. Check her out at wirphotography.com. She has a great eye for angles and gives you the disc with all rights to make your own copies. She is EXTREMELY affordable. Mention my name, Nicole Taylor, and she might cut your a deal! Best of luck planning your special day. -Nicole

I absolutely recommend Kelly Adler. She may be unavailable for your wedding date, but she is AMAZING and extremely affordable. As soon as my FI and I met with her, we knew she was the one. I would definitely give her a call and see if she is available. Good luck on your search!!!

Amy Pflasterer! She was unbelievable with everything she can do- she's taught photography for years and also does weddings and other photography on the side so she brings a fresher perspective and is very up to date. Also, she is very relaxed, something I found invaluable on our big day! She was our best vendor, hands down. http://knepperphotography.smugmug.com/

We used Burns Photography. They include the cd w/copyright release. Visit their websight at burnsphotographystl.com. They are a married couple -- they do not employ other photographer -- it's a gorgeous website. We had both of them all day -- perfect for when we were getting ready before the ceremony. Ellie was with the girls and Tim was with the guys. Also worked out well for post wedding photos with Tim while Ellie shot the details of the reception. They are exceptional, IMO.

I met with both Kelly Pratt and Ryan Gladstone.  Their prices were GREAT and their work was phenomenal.  I think that Ryan is a new photographer that has a LOT of potential.  His price is around $1500.

not to throw ANOTHER photographer at you but I am in love with my photographer. RockstarBride. The company is based out of Florida but have a photographer here in St. Louis. I wanted a photojournalistic style and copyright release. The prices are really great. I had been seriously stressing about photographers as there are so many options it is overwhelming. We met with a few other photographers and left thinking, "they were nice, the pictures were nice." We almost did nto go to the appointment cause we had found photgrpahers we liked 'enough.' When we left the studio of our photographer for RockStarBride we were practically skipping.
