Dress Shop Recommendations

Ladies... Please recommend your dress shops (or don't recommend the ones you didn't like). I have been to Clarice's and Simply Elegant. I loved both of them but I want to check out at least 2 more. Any help would be great! Thanks!

I went to Wedding Gallery in Saint Charles... I loved them.  They just built a new store and it's BEAUTIFUL.  I highly suggest checking them out.

I went to a LOT of different places and ended up finding my dress at Robin's Bridal. If you look back at the older posts on this board, theres a post with a TON of recomendations. It was a few months ago I think but should still be there. It will help you out a lot.

I liked both of the two you've been too and I LOVED Town and Country Bridal.  Most of their gowns were around $2000 when I bought my dress, but since they opened a new location in Frontenance their West County location is supposed to have a lot more dresses around $1000.I didn't have a great experience at Ultimate Bride (very rude salesperson and all of the dresses are in the back of the shop) or at Enchanted Bride (again, rude pushy saleswoman).

I hated Wedding Gallery. The owner was ridiculous to deal with and she created a very uncomfortable, high-pressure environment.I second Town and Country Bridal. Reenie helped me and she was fabulous. I'm pretty sure this is where my dress is coming from. The other one I really liked was Elite/Blustein's Bridal in Weldon Spring. It's a mom and daughter and aunt (I believe) that run it and they are great.

I could never say enough good things about Karen's Bridal in Ballwin.  The owner and her mother are incredible!  So kind, caring, helpful, and compassionate!  Wonderful people!

I went to MANY bridal shops.  My favorites were Elite/Bluestein's in St. Charles, as well as Amore' and Town & Country in St. Louis.  I would steer clear of The Ultimate Bride and Maiden Voyage (they were a bit pushy and didn't allow you very free access to the gowns).  Best of Luck and give yourself the gift of time to search for your perfect gown!  :o)

Karen's Wedding Boutique over in Ballwin.  If you liked Clarices and Simply Elegant, you will absolutely love Karen's... because your dress will be less expensive.

I know that no one wants to go there, but I ended up at David's.  I spent $600 on a dress that I absolutely loved and got a thousand compliments on.  They are a little high on alterations (right at $100 for straps and a bustle) but I couldn't have been happier with the way it all came out.  You don't have to spend a fortune on a dress to feel like a million dollars, and you are probably the only one that is going to know you are wearing a designer unless one of your friends is getting married too.

I had THE BEST experience with Karin's. I just got my dress on Tuesday after special ordering alterations. They're reworking my mom's veil at no cost. Fantastic service.

I LOVED Amore on Long Rd in Chesterfield. They have a great selection, and the family who runs it is great!
