Choosing a Florist

I am getting married in July. Could anyone recommend a good reasonably priced florist in the St. Louis area? Thanks!

    Hi there,

I met with three very different florists.  One was very reasonably priced, but had very little ideas - one was mild-moderately priced and full of suggestions - and the last was overly priced and had some good ideas.  I went with the moderately priced florist.  Her name is Sandra Meyer from Petals Galore.  Here is her website (also home of the 100 Bouquet Company) http://petalsgalore.com/ .

    Good Luck!

I am using Chic Events with Angie.  She gets a lot of good feedback on several boards... She is a bit of a challenge to reach at times, but I am hopeful she will be as amazing as others say & her prices are good!

I'm using Lisa at Belli Fiori on the hill - she has phenonmenal ideas and does incredible work and is reasonably priced. I spoke wiht about 6 or 7 different florists and she was by far the most creative and reasonably priced.

I recommend Victoria Cripps.  She's actually from Greenville, IL but came to STL to meet with me.  Her prices were absolutely amazing as she does flowers on the side.  I highly recommend meeting with her at least to talk through your ideas.  My wedding isn't until April so I can't say how my flowers will turn out, but I'm very confident in her abilities.  Her email is vfcripps@sbcglobal.net.

I tried to set up an appointment with Melinda, but every time we had one scheduled she would come up with an excuse and cancel.  Then finally the last appointment I had with her I drove nearly 40 minutes to meet with her on a Saturday & she sent me an e-mail to my work (after I gave her my cell # and told her I would not be accessible via e-mail on the weekends).  After sending the e-mail she called my cell to tell me she was "sick"... but when I got to work on Monday I read the e-mail that said she had a holiday party the night before and was recovering.  Very unprofessional!  At that point I didn't care what her prices were, I knew I couldn't work with anyone like that.  I haven't heard of any one else having a bad experience there, so perhaps I am the one and only... Just use caution.

I used Schnuck's Focus on Design- they beat everyone else's price by 25%, were punctual, detail oriented and carried out my vision.

I am using Ladue Florist. I checked with all the recent brides I knew, and their name came up the most. Also, you can always as for referals from your vendors, if they didn't give you list to begin with, they see the finish product time and time again, so they know who is great.
