Travel Agents?

Hi Everyone! My name is Katherine, I'm getting married in Boston in June, but I live in St. Louis. My Fiance and I are beginning to research our honeymoon. Can anyone recommend a good travel agent here? Would you even recommend using a travel agent? We are looking at going to Europe most likely. Thanks!!

    We met with a travel agent at the beginning.  We were looking for an all-inclusive Caribbean vacation - not nearly as involved as a Europe trip.  Regardless, the prices the travel agent quoted us were significantly higher than everything we researched. We just booked everything online and saved over $1000.  
    The travel agent was a complete waste of time for us but like I said, a European vacation is much more involved.  I do recommend being extremely clear from the beginning on what you want.  Don't let a travel agent push you into a deal you don't want.  
    Good luck researching!  It will be wonderful no matter where you go or what you do!

    Hmm I've been to Europe three times and have never used a travel agent, and all three trips were multinational ones. But those trips were more backpacking trips than a honeymoon. I have a feeling travel agent would be more expensive than you looking for places & flights  yourself, but the agent might plan a smoother trip.

    I love planning vacations and finding out the best deals, so I rarely find TAs to be worthwhile for me. But if planning your HM during the wedding planning will stress you out and it's not something you enjoy doing a TA might be a good call. I have no advice about any good ones though ... sorry!

    we did use a travel agent and he was able to find us a MUCH cheaper deal than any website like applevacations.com or something like that. in fact the exact same deal we got through our TA was on apple for $250 more per person AND our TA got us a major upgrade as well. im very happy with the deal we got!
