are you having a Videographer??

How many of you are having a videographer? I originally thought that my photographer alone would be more than enough, but I came accross a very reasonably priced videographer and now I cannot decide if I should go for it, or just let it go. Thoughts?

If you can afford it in your budget, I would say meet up with the company or the videographer, see some samples, and if you like what you see, go for it!! Think about 25 years from now..or even 10! I love watching my mom's wedding video, and I think it would be cool to show kids and just to view in the future! :)

I would love one, but I don't know if we can fit it in the budget.  What "very reasonably priced videographer " did you find?

I would also like to know who you found!  If the price is right I would LOVE to have our wedding on video!

the videographer is www.addsomesweet.com and the package is $800 for two videographers for 8hrs, 3 DVDs, a highlight reel that they put on their website while you are awating  your DVD and any additional hour is $100. Compared to some of the prices I saw out there (in the thousands) I thought that this was a pretty good deal!! They said they aren't completely new to the scene, but still getting their name and client base out there. She said prices would likely increase come this spring.

We were so glad we have the video -- not just the photos.  If you found something that you feel is reasonably priced, I'd go for it.  We've viewed it with our family -at their request- and they have loved it and enjoyed it too. The video captured sweet moments, funny moments and toasts, etc.  I highly recommend.

it depends on the type of person you are. I am def. the type where i will watch that video tons of times. I just know that overtime you forget stuff and it would be nice to look back at the wedding and watch it again. I would say yes from my point of view. By the way...who did you find. I want a videographer really bad but they are all so expensive i thought about just setting a video camera up for the wedding.

I definately want one. I have looked at so many websites. Switzerfilm is totally what I want, but totally do not want to spend $7500 on  it. I think that it is outrageous. I really want a good video but still want to be able to pay the bills.

We are having a family member tape the wedding. I have heard from too many people that they either never watched their wedding video or watched it once and it was not worth the money they spent.

I also keep hearing (and I agree) get a good photographer. Being a photographer myself, that is what I plan on doing! :)

We didnt get a videographer.  I personally watched my Dad's wedding tape once in the fifteen years since he got married, and he only watched it that once because I wanted to.  I thought it would be money spent that I could spend elsewhere, so that is what we did.  If you are someone that KNOWS you are going to watch it alot, even after the excitement ends 6 months after the wedding, then go for it.  Everyone I have ever talked to said it was a waste of money and never got viewed again after the first year, (with the exception of an occasional anniversary) so we saved our money and got extra pages for our album instead.

I found one and I think all of you should check them out! Sweet tea media! The website is addsomesweet.com
Josh and Amy are so talented and their work says it all! This is one of the few videographers I met with that I walked away thinking "They are going to make my day awesome!" I can not wait for my wedding so I can see my video.
