plus size wedding gowns

Hi everyone!  Does anyone know of any good bridal salons in the StL area that actually carries plus size gowns to try on?  It's so depressing to go and have to hold up a size 6 in front of you and wonder what it'll look like instead of actually trying it on and seeing it.

I've looked at David's, but I'm looking for other ideas too.  Thanks ladies!

I got my dress from Robin's Bridal.  They had a lot of different sizes, up to like 24 or something.  It was one of the few places I went that had a big selection of dresses in a variety of sizes.

David's Bridal or Bridal Connections in North County are the best options! I was so discouraged going to all the Bridal places and seeing those little sizes and then went to David's Bridal in Fairview Heights they had any size in any dress. I also loved Bridal Connections they had tons of dresses in all sizes- its about time people recognize that not everyone is small and who wouldn't want to actually try a wedding dress on not just around your neck.

I went to the David's Bridal in Crestwood/Sunset Hills & they had very few plus-size gowns to try on.  I did find a small dress shop in St. Ann called LaMerite that had a huge selection of plus-size... you can also try the Bridal Shoppe in Festus, depending on where you are located.  Those are the only 3 stores I have experience with, but by far David's was the absolute worst!!

I went to Bonnie's Formal Fashions in O'Fallon, IL.  They even had some size 26 dresses to try on!  I had previously gone to David's Bridal and was so disappointed.  I live in Fenton but driving to Bonnie's was the best decision I made.  They also have a large selection of plus size BM dresses too.

Chatfeilds Boutique - its off barret station and manchester rd in the manchester/ballwin/des peres area.  I have not personally been their yet.  I am on my way to losing weight before I got dress shopping since I have lots of time still.  But I have seen a news report about them, and her website is very inviting for plus size brides and traditional religious brides.  Check out her website.  chatfeildsboutiqe.com

I am a plus size and just bought my gown at la merite.
I typically wear a street size 22, so when my MOH picked up a dress that was a bridal size 16, i told her there was no way on earth my butt would ever go in there. Our consultant, Cara, told me, "Oh you have no idea what I can do." Sure enough, she got me into that dress,  laced it up, and I fell in love! That is the very dress I ended up buying, but i tried on a ton that day in the store, they had an awesome selection and helpful staff!

Demetrios.  I'm a size 22, they had a sample size 14, and any dress with a corset back I was actually able to try on.  I had a great overall experience.
