Bridal Party to BIG? HELP!

I have been set on 4 bridemaids, but my FH really couldnt  decide between two guys so we upped it to 5.  But I really hate the idea of it not being even, as in pictures 2 on one side and 3 on the other (bride in the middle). My mom is freaking out because she says its a production when we have more that 4.....should we do 6 (we know exactly how we would pick) or just stick with five.....I hate the thought of uneven pictures..i know its stupid but me and my FH are a little OCD like that.....how many is too many?

Keep in mind we have over 300 guests invited so its a big wedding to begin with.  On one hand we only are doing this once in a lifetime....but I dont want people thinking its a production like my mom thinks

AHHHH help! input opinions please!

Hate to tell you this but with a guest list of over 300, you are having a production.

But if you want 5 or even 6 bridemaids/groomsmen, do it.  No one really cares in the end except you.  Just remember that the larger your bridal party gets the longer pics will take, simply because you have more people who have to look good in a shot.  As for even sided-ness for pics, a good photographer will set everyone up so that it looks nice.

But other than that, no worries, don't sweat this detail.

We have 5 on each side of our wedding party. It never even crossed my mind what pictures would look like with an odd number. We knew who we wanted to be there and it just happened to be that number. I don't think its a big deal at all. After all, what's ONE more? Smile

I am like you, I feel like the sides have to be even. I know where you are coming from :)

I would say that as long as you are close and care about everyone in the wedding party 5 or 6 on each side is fine.
