The Bluestone

Has anyone had their wedding or been to a wedding at The Bluestone (formerly BOMA)?  Thoughts on it as a venue?

While I have not attended a wedding at the Bluestone, I booked my May 2012 wedding there. We loved the uniqueness of the venue and thought it was fabulous. Susan the event coordinator is awesome and very on top of things. Before we booked we asked to meet with the AV tech and see the lighting options, which she did at no charge and also included the music so we could hear the sound system and had a couple tables set up with fancy linens so we could see it with the specialty lighting. She always offers us champagne or bottled water at our meetings. We had a tasting before we booked and it was fabulous! We are doing stations and she let me customize all the options. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me!

I really love the Bluestone (Boma) as well. But I was concerned because I read that they have undergone several ownership/management changes. They were a bar, then an event space and now they are promoting themselves as a concert hall. I was just worried they may go out of business before my wedding next year, since they seem to be changing their focus so much.

Did they mention anything about the recent changes? I'd love some inside info as I still haven't finalized my space! :-)

Bluestone might be a bit more expensive than other places, but you are getting soo much more than any other place. Susan, the even planner will help you set it all up and customize your perfect day.

I booked my Wedding for May 2012 as well. My fience and I actually met there and had always thought how it would be the perfect  place. We are having an ethnic wedding and they allowed us to customize everything.

I actually got to meet with the Owner Dave few times and it looks like the new management and the owners are they to stay and are only doing special events and concerts.
