Any truth to the rumor that Kray Chic is closing May 1st?

I think I saw in another post not too long ago that they were merging with another store. I don't know first hand if that's true, but I live down the street from them and haven't seen any unusual activity.

I bought my gown from them and found out last week they are closing on May 1. They are going to some salon in Northville I haven't heard of.

Just heard they are closing and Larry the owner is going to B'ella to manage the Northville salon.  Too bad

Holy Crap!  My wedding is May 7th, I'm supposed to pick it up from there on May 
3rd--would have been nice for them to tell me!  I was there last week for a final fitting.  Thanks for the update.  I'll be marching in there tomorrow for sure!!

I was just in there with my mom trying on dresses for her, and they didn't mention anything or didn't look like anything was moving. Everyone keep their ears open..... if I have to go to another dress store with my mother for a dress for her I might croak.

They called me to let me know my dress was in, but made no mention of it that they were moving. I live in Indiana..about 5 hours away. My mom went in to look at my dress for me and informed her that they were moving to Northville to a new salon because their lease is up end of April in their current building. They suggested my mom take my dress home so it wouldn't get lost in the move.

Yup...definitely true!  They won't have space to take the dresses that are being stored there to the salon they are merging with in Northville.  I almost had a heart attack today because I went in there (of course, nobody answered when I called--they were crazy busy) they couldn't find my dress!  My wedding is in less than three weeks and talk about FREAK OUT! 
Apparently, it is just "next on the press" (they called Larry to confirm) and I can pick it up on Monday, when it will be all pressed and ready to go.  I was very disappointed because I did not get the letter that they supposedly sent out to everyone.  BUT...thanks to you ladies, I found out about it, and I should have my dress on Monday!

I was informed that they were closing and they rushed through my fittings way earlier than normal for my July wedding.  They were making 1 more round of alterations and said they would call at least a week before I needed to pick up the dress.  I just called now and they said tonight is the last night...nice!  There is no way I can pick it up tonight. They never called in advance to let me know. They said it may be moved to the seamstresses house.  Totally unprofessional and I am very dissapointed!
