I am super excited  to do my first DIY project for the wedding tomorrow. :)

    I am making hangers with my BM names in wire on them. They are gifts for them to hang their dresses on. I fell in love with them on Etsy but they were almost $25 a piece and with 7 BMs, a Junior BM, and a FG it added up quick.

    I got the hangers and the wire for the cost of just one finished hanger off Etsy.

    I am not a very crafty person but I have a cousin who is and she is helping me.

    Great idea!! However, i highly recommend really taking your time. I've seen some REALLY nice DIY ones.... but i've also seen some disasters :) Although with a super craft helper, i think it'll be great! Make sure you update us!

    I also recently saw a picture of some DIY ones that I wasn't impresses with at all. On my own I wouldn't even be attempting this. However with my super crafty cousin and my mom I am hoping they turn out wonderful. The two of them use to own a scrapbook store so they have done a few crafts together.

    You're right... some ones ive seen recently i would never gift give :( i bought some for my sister and friend last summer. it was worth the $. I'm fairly crafty but there's no way i'd be able to do those. i know my limitations! lol

    So my project didn't go as excepted. The wire I bought wasn't working like I wanted it to. So I am on the hunt now for a different type. I think I am going to purchase some aluminum wire. I got some great ideas though and now know what I need to do. I guess that is the reason why you do this project in advance. 

    I will be trying again next Sunday :)
