When should you start registering?

I registered at Bed Bath & Beyond and Crate & Barrel

We already registered before the Holidays but have been adding and subtracting stuff from the registry online the entire time since.  We did it early because I was starting my MBA & my FI is getting his masters too and one less thing to do this year makes me happy!  I personally think about 6 months is good.

We did ours yesterday, for our May 29th wedding. So, just over 4 months out. I think about 5-6 months is good. We did it closer because I was worried that by the time people go to buy things it would be discontinued or somthing and plus I didn't want to go during the holidays. 
We registered at Target and Kohls because those are 2 of my favorite stores and their prices are reasonable:)

We registered in November for our August 6 wedding.

We're registered at BBB, Amazon.com, and Macy's.  Although...I am kinda at war with Macy's with something non-registry related.  So we might pull our Macy's one and take it elsewhere.

We registered at BBB & Target a month before our first shower (June) for our September wedding. Both required some maintenance with removing seasonal and discounted items, but overall I had an okay experience.

The only thing I didn't like, is we got some gift cards to Target for Christmas, and our registry was deleted out of their system.

Our wedding is May 21st and we haven't registered yet.  I figure no one is buying us gifts yet so there really is no point.  We'll register end of February- beginning of March before the invites go out.  Our shower is May 1st.

We just register on Saturday for our July 23rd wedding. We registered at Target and Bed, Bath, and Beyond and we may register at one more place.

We will be doing Bed Bath and Beyond as well as Target.

We registered at BB&B and Target about a month before our first shower which was at the end of November.  No reason to register much sooner than whenever your Shower invites go out.

 We haven't registered yet, but plan to register at Bed, Bath & Beyond and Crate & Barrel or Pottery Barn. I don't want to register at Target cause their return policy stinks and I know a lot of people who have gotten burned by them when it comes to registries and returning duplicate items.

We just started thinking about it and started a registry online at BB&B.  Our wedding is in May and our shower is the end of March.
