We did because we had absolutely no points to use for anything, rarely book vacations oursleves, and neither one of us had been to Hawaii and wanted some guidance aside from what you find online. There are pros and cons for using one. I didn't like my guy very much in the beginning, but he did actually work with our budget and was awesome when it came time to go over our itinerary, he was an expert on Hawaii. Also I rather enjoyed having a single number to call for all our questions and concerns, we actually called twice during the trip and customer service was outstanding.

No we didnt. I wanted to plan everything so I knew what I was getting. It wasnt worth the time or expense to spend with a travel agent. We used tripadvisor and found the reviews extremely helpful! HTH

We ended up booking through Directional Strategies and glad we did. They are Sandals Resort Specialist so were able to tell us what was available in our budget. Would I book again through a travel agent? I'm not sure. I'm glad we did for our honeymoon, because they took care of everything. They told us what excursions to do and which ones to avoid. They told us what to pack and even how to find our way through the airport. With all the stress from planning the wedding, I'm not sure I would have wanted to plan the honeymoon without any guidance.

We also didn't pay anything for their services, although they probably get a kickback from Sandals for every trip booked.
