STD Opinions Please!

So I want to order my save the dates today. Originally I was planning on sending over-sized post cards. But just a few weeks ago I received a postcard STD that got quite beat up in the mail. Should I change it to a card inside an envelope instead?

I might. I did rsvp postcards & many of them have come back tore up. Your STDs are too cute to arrive mangled. Especially since they'll be hanging on people's fridges.

Many of our STD postcards got smudged in the machine... :( You may want to consider envelopes, though that makes for more expensive postage.

That's what I did. Mine were the 8x4 cards on Shutterfly, like what people do at Xmas with their kids pics on them.  ;)  They came with envelopes.

I did postcards and they turned out fine after mailing. Many people had them on their fridge. I ordered them through cardstore.com if that helps.

We are also doing save the date magnets. They are reasonably priced at totallyweddingmagnets.com they are more than postcards obviously but I think the investment will be worth it with us because we are a friday night wedding.
