Belle Isle Casino and Liquor

I'm leaning towards this venue.. I know you can bring your own liquor. Does anyone know how the liquor license works?

I booked the Belle Isle Casino for my reception. My contract only states that "cash bar is prohibited". Were having a open bar, but doesnt say we need a liquor license.

Got it! I knew there was some rule - but that it was ok otherwise.

How has it been working with them so far? I called about any saturday in setember and they told me they haven't opened those dates up yet (since the cancellation of the grand prix) - but I thought the grand prix was scheduled to be in August sometime anyway.

Wow! We actually had to move our wedding up to July 17, it was originally August 28,2010, because of the Grand Prix and now its canceled? They are ok so far, and I call at least once a week about something. You can make an appointment to see the Casino every Wednesday from 11 to 1. But its beautiful and the fact that we can bring in outside vendors is saving us a lot of money.

Yeah - they are kind of giving me the run-around about the date I want.. saying that they haven't released any of the September dates yet.. as if they were all reserved by the grand prix. SO confusing... guess I need to make a trip.

I also just realized that you are planning exactly the wedding I want to have.. wedding in the garden and reception in the casino. Do you remember how much it was to reserve the garden? I know they don't have a big indoor option in case it rains.. are you planning to have a tent?
