Church - Liberty Presbyterian, Delaware
Liberty is absolutely breathtaking, and they were SO easy to work with. Their wedding coordinator, Brittany, is wonderful as is Pastor Don who married us. They allowed as complete freedom with our music selections which as I mentioned before was very important to us. I can't say enough wonderful things about them!
Venue - The Loft at Smith Brothers
Love, love, loved our venue! DH was very concerned about the split floor plan for dinner/dancing, but it ended up being perfect. We did our first dance and parent dances upstairs to give everyone time to finish dessert, then cranked up the music downstairs and guests just made their way down as they were ready. We had some older guests who left (although we reserved some tables/chairs downstairs for those who wanted to stay), and everyone else was on the dance floor the ENTIRE night. Because we got married final four weekend, we had a TV set up in their soft seating area which worked out perfectly. Moving everyone downstairs made the dancing part of our evening feel very intimate, and hardly anyone went back upstairs except to take pictures over the railing! :0) The food was even better than at the tasting (we used Zuppa catering) and received tons on compliments. Molly was a doll and took care of EVERY detail to my exact specifications. They even brought a plate of appetizers to the head table when we sat...yummo! The staff and bartenders could not have been nicer, and we loved being able to bring in our own alcohol since we went through a ton (huge money saver). My ONLY complaint was about gratuity. The Loft does not add gratuity to your bill, which is good as DH and I both believe in tipping based on service. The staff did a wonderful job, and it was our intention to tip very well. At the end of the night, DH realized that he had left his checkbook back at the hotel, and was asked twice by staff about our gratuity check. Awkward. A server at a restaurant would never ask about their tip, especially considering that it's discretionary. Not a huge deal, but a strange thing to ask the groom for. Twice. We took care of gratuity on Monday.
Flowers - Flowers On Springtree Lane
Perfection. Not only were these ladies very reasonably priced and extremely nice to work with, but they executed my very specific vision perfectly. If you have the opportunity to use them do so...you will not regret it.
