MOH VENT--Long

I'm sorry I just need to type this out to people who who understand my frustration!!With just under two months to go, I'm very busy with wedding stuff--add on looking for a job and a place to live and there's a lot going in my life.I had my first fitting yesterday, and at that point I scheduled my second one which I was told my MOH or whomever was doing the bussle should attend.I emailed my MOH in excitement and said..not sure if Thursday nights work, but here's my second fitting time hope to see you there. She emailed back that she had class on Thursdays, and she would be available Friday or Saturday.I called Arenas and rescheduled it for a Friday--called MOH--she told me she had a wedding and couldn't make it that day!Okay, so I recalled Arenas, apologizing!! And I scheduled it for the following Saturday. I call my MOH thinking she will be so gracious for accommodating her--she yells at me about how I've ruined her summer, and now she can't go up north! She tells me after I made the appointment that she wanted the next Sat, which the seamstres wasn't in, and I should've booked this instead. I calmly tell her I did what I could, and I was trying to accomodate her, but I could only do so much. if it's not going to work let me know.Ohh and she just sent me a text saying she's sorry but here's some more dates that might work too...I am soo upset!! Since when should I have to schedule my fiitting 4 times---why couldn't she just give me the dates up front--WTF does she think please tell me when you are available mean??Thanks for just letting me vent!!

Wow, she sounds like a very selfish person! I'll admit, I was not able to attend the bussle thing when I was the MOH, but one of the BM did and everything worked out just fine. Just try to keep your cool. Hopefully she'll realize what a biatch she's being! That's not ok for her to do that!

I had a long post typed out and Knot ate it! Did you want me to go with you to your fitting? LOL. Your MOH is being kinda difficult and a biatch. I know our weddings aren't a priority in their lives but it would help if they didn't make us feel like shite so much.My MOH went to my fittings twice and another BM once, and neither of them bustled me correctly, it looked kinda dumb in some pics.

agreed. the MOH doesn't HAVE to bustle you. It can be anyone.

It sounds like she's got a lot going on and isn't so great at communicating. I would suggest having someone else bustle you.

My sister/MOH's schedule way too crazy too, so I didn't even think to invite her to my fittings.  She did go w/ my parents though to pick up the dress, and the ladies showed her how to bustle the dress. Fast forward to the wedding day, and we forgot to bustle the dress until right when we were to be announced.  DH ended up bustling my dress in a frenzy...but he did it!  :)

I didnt have anyone go with me to any of my fittings and my bustle got figured out (it was 9 points). It isnt rocket science so you will be fine if she cant end up going. But I understand your frustration- it is hard when other people dont care, especially when you work to accommodate them.

she sounds like she needs a good a$$ whooping. Honestly if she was my MOH... I probably would give her a way out... do you have any other BM that could step up to the plate?

I think you are being more than patient and accommodating for her.  You're a better person than I am because I would've given up on her after the first reschedule.  Is there a family member or in-law that can go with you to learn the bustle?  I agree with pp that anyone can do that for you.  Doesn't have to be crazy-busy MOH.  Good luck!!

OK if you and your wedding are “ruining her summer” so bad, why did she agree to be your MOH in the first place?  I’d probably tell her to take her summer back, not to do me any favors and then kick her azz out of the wedding altogether.  Actually I wouldn’t but that’s what I would be thinking on the inside.  Sorry to hear she’s being such a selfish b!tch.  I also agree to take someone else and rely on THEM to bustle you, like your mom or an aunt or one of the other bridesmaids.

Seriously, what a selfish b**ch.   Seriously.  that is really rude to say that to you.  Whether you've been asking a lot of her or not through out the wedding, it sounds like she has a major problem communicating.  If it was me, I would just say, you know what forget it.  I live by myself in Texas and I have no one to show me how to do it!!
