I would like to have Pablo Neruda's Soneto XVII read in Spanish by a friend and then the translation read in English by another. For those of you who had readers at your ceremony, how did you go about asking them to read for you? Would it be too personal a thing to send the request by e-mail?I'm also looking for one other reading to do as well, but something less traditional/overused, anyone have any suggestions?

IMO I felt like it was something worth asking in person, if possible. We were fortunate to see both our desired readers at family events, so we asked in person, privately.I would've called, had I not been able to see these people.HTH

Austins sister is a reader and I asked her via e-mail. Only because she lives in Atlanta and we dont speak much, but If I had the chance I would have asked her in person.

I plan to ask them in person, because they will be local. Maybe a phone call would be more personal than email?
