Drag show for B-Party

I was thinking of going to a drag queen show for my b-party.  I heard GiGi's in Detroit has shows every saturday.  Has anyone ever been to one?  Also do they pull the bride on stage, if so what kind of funny things does she have to do?

GiGi's has two shows every Sat...one at 10:30 and then another later in the night I think....I wanna say 1? At least when we went for mine they had 2 shows because my BM who planned the party passed out and we missed the first show trying to give the bus lady directions ugh. She was going to the CITY of Warren and not Warren ROAD like we had asked. At the start of the show they just pull the bride to be up there and the hostess drag queen chats a little. They don't make you do anything weird or embarrassing at all....and everyone there is super nice. Shauna (Alarthame) mentioned The Male Box too - I haven't been there though so I don't know what they offer. GiGi's isn't the newest cleanest place though and it's not in an area where you'd want to be walking around the streets as there's not much else around and it's not in the best of neighborhoods. Not super bad but not great either.

GiGi's seems to be a really popular b-party destination.  I should've been going to one there next weekend but we have to have Amanda's birthday party that night so I guess I'll never know just how much fun the place is.  :-(

As Rachel has mentioned, I heard GiGis is a blast from several of my friends who go there. The Male Box is also not in the best area (7 Mile & Ryan) and I'm not sure if they have shows every Saturday or not, but I can find out from a friend who did his show there. He's having another one on the 29th of this month, but I'm not sure where it is. I'll find out where and let you know of any things that might be interesting! HTH!

I went to one... I think it was a Liptsticks in Ferndale? They shined a spotlight on her and said a few words, but she didn't have to physically do anything. Not really my scene, but fun if you're into that kind of thing! She found it hilarious.

Gigi's is fun. The drag show is the best. Great atmosphere

SO apparently the Male Box has a drag show every Friday but it sucks (per my friend who did a special event show there). His show is at Menjo's, which I guess is on Woodward and McNichols. But they only have special shows.
